Jordan Honda today continued its three day test session at Mugello with F3000 Champion, Justin Wilson, returning for his second test in the EJ11 following an impressive first test at Silverstone last month.
Wilson completed 76 laps and spent the morning familiarizing himself with the Italian circuit and the EJ11 in dry conditions, posting a lap time of 1:27.61. Jean Alesi focused on development work and set-up for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, finishing a total of 60 laps and recording the second fastest lap time of 1:25.64.
The team worked on general chassis set-up and aerodynamic package comparisons in both dry weather in the morning and damp circuit conditions this afternoon, where they concentrated on traction control, start procedures and suspension configurations.
Alesi will now leave Mugello to prepare for the Japanese Grand Prix and Narain Karthikeyan joins Wilson tomorrow to complete the final day of testing for Jordan this season.
