5th March - Traction control included with every Ferrari engine ?

Hopefully with his tongue firmly in his cheek, Heinz-Harald has asked whether traction control comes as standard with every Ferrari engine following his difficulty in getting past both Ferrari powered Saubers at Melbourne.

Following his altercation with Barrichello, Heinz rejoined the race in 16th place. He moved quickly through the field until he came up behind the impressive Raikkonen in his 1st Grand Prix. "I got stuck behind Raikkonenīs Sauber for a long time and hoped I could get ahead in the pit stops, which I managed to do, by this time for sixth place."

The German then caught up with his countryman, Heidfeld, catching him at around .75sec per lap, but found he could go no further. "Heidfeld was the next car ahead and even though I managed to catch him quite quickly, I knew passing him would be another matter," he said.
"I donīt know if traction control comes as a factory option with Ferrari engines, but every time I got close in a slower corner he would pull away under acceleration, which was strange as I could here the engine misfiring!"

The Jordan driver is now looking forward to the reintroduction of traction control as he knows that, while it takes away from the skill required to drive an F1 car, it will at least level the playing field.
"My car ran like clockwork all weekend, which is hopefully a good omen for the races ahead, especially when we all get to run traction control in Spain.
"It takes a lot of the skill out of driving, but thatīs better than running a one legged race. In the meantime we are still a good bet, even if the odds have dropped a lot since the first race!

"I am going for the win in Malaysia." he concluded.
