Heinz-Harald Frentzen set the pace for a second consecutive day at Silverstone on Wednesday, as the Jordan, Arrows and Benetton teams make final preparations for the Formula 1 season opener in Melbourne on March 4.
Frentzen, who set a winter test record at Silverstone yesterday at 1:24.081, bettered that mark today with a 1:23.830 although his day was cut short with a mechanical problem that limited him to only 18 laps.
Jarno Trulli also joined the action today and fared better mechanically, completing 35 laps, posting the second-fastest time at 1:24.610.
Pit stop practice for the Jordan crew ensured there was a lot of action in the pitlane all day as the mechanics shook off the cob-webs in preparation for the first race of the season.
Testing was concluded for the team today and the team will now prepare to freight their cars to the other end of the world.
