Day 2 at the Italian Mugello circuit saw the Jordan Honda team continue their 3 day test.
Jean Alesi was joined by co-driver Jarno Trulli and each completed 57 untroubled laps in hot and sunny conditions.
The test team devoted time to addressing reliability issues, especially in the gearbox and hydraulics area, and both drivers spent the day working on general chassis set-up and aerodynamic configurations for the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix. Trulli was fourth fastest with a lap time of 1:25.75 and Alesi was sixth quickest with 1:26.78.
Meanwhile, Andrew Gilbert-Scott continued to carry out vital testing for the team at Silverstone, making 22 launch control starts to test new software developments, and collected valuable information for the team.
