Jarno Trulli is confident that his Jordan team have what it takes to challenge the might of Williams, Ferrari and McLaren for race wins towards the end of the year.
The Italian has brought his car home fifth during the past two races but he believes that the building blocks are there, and together with a lot of hard work, the team can put together a race winning car.
Jordan have scored ten points in the opening four rounds, and remain well on course to surpass last season's total of 17. Fourth place in the championshipn also looks likely, up from 6th in 2000.
"It's a bit too early to talk, but I must say that the car is a good base to start from, so we could develop it through the season," Trulli said. "We don't look to be so far from Ferrari, and sometimes we look like we're competitive with McLaren, so it might be that during the season and we might have some good results.
"It might be that this season we can have a highlight somewhere. For me last year it was Monaco and Spa, and this year I hope to do it again."
