12th April - The 'buzzin hornets' branding has been replaced with . . .

With the gradual outlawing of tobacco sponsorship, there are many countries in which Jordan's prime sponsor, Benson & Hedges, are not allowed to advertise their product, so the team replace the brand name with a phrase that ties in to the team's seasonal theme.

In 1997 the 'Benson & Hedges' brand name was replaced with 'Bitten & Hisses' to go with the snake on the nose. 1998 to 2000 saw the side pod and rear wing of the Jordan read 'Buzzin Hornets' to fit with the effective hornet on the nose.

The January 16th launch has seen the birth of the shark and there has been much speculation as to what would replace the cigarette companies name on the side of the Jordan car when we arrived at the 'tobacco-free' races.

As can be seen, the Jordan and Benson & Hedges marketeers have settled on 'Bitten Heroes' for 2001.

Lets hope this leads to some heroic performances from the team this year !
