28th March - Giselle Davies is off to new pastures.

Useful if F1 becomes
an Olympic sport!
Jordan's head of corporate communications Giselle Davies is leaving the team to take up a high profile position with the International Olympic Committee as Director of Communications.

The IOC has appointed Giselle as its new public relations supremo, concentrating in the short term on the upcoming 2004 games in Athens.

Davies, daughter of BBC football commentator Barry Davies, has been with Jordan for five years and will take up her new position in mid-May.
She is the latest in a string of personnel to part company with the Silverstone based team, but this sounds like an opportunity too good to refuse. She joined Jordan, from Benetton, as Head of Press and PR in 1997 before being promoted to Head of Communications in 2000.

"The Olympic movement represents the pinnacle of sporting endeavour for all aspiring athletes and it is thrilling to become a part of the organisation," she told British newspaper the Guardian.
