17th January - Nearly 200 laps for Fisi and Sato on day 2 at Valencia.

Fisichella finished just behind the McLarens.
Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato today completed heavy workload in what was a productive second day of a three-day test in Valencia for Jordan.

Dry and sunny conditions gave the drivers the opportunity to run the EJ11s for a combined total of 195 laps, with Fisichella recording the third fastest time of 1:13.94. Sato’s lap time of 1:14.87 was almost a second quicker than his best time yesterday and places him seventh in today’s time chart, fractions of a second behind 2001 race winner, Juan Pablo Montoya.

Both drivers carried out work on Bridgestone’s tyre test programme and Sato worked on development suspension geometry while Fisichella focused his efforts on weight distribution.

Tomorrow will be the final day of Jordan Honda’s test in Valencia, following which the team will return to their headquarters. Rumours suggest that the EJ12 might get its first run at a Silverstone test next week.
