11th January - The EJ11s are fastest on the last day at Barcelona.

Fisichella is fastest of the week.
5 teams tested on the last day at Barcelona for this week, and finally they were blessed with clear skies and a dry track, the first full day without any rain.
A foggy start did delay their work, though, as the emergency helicopter was unable to land. As a result the beginning of the session was postponed from 09.00 local time to 10.00.

When they got going, Fisichella went fastest of all with the sizzling time of 1.18.520, which is just one tenth of a second slower than Jean Alesi's testing lap record at this track.
It is only the Italian's third day at the wheel of the EJ11, making the time even more special.
Fisichella commented, ""It's been a very good day. We did a variety of set-up work and I did a lot of laps. Last year was a difficult year for me and I'm just getting used to a new car, so putting in the quickest lap time of the week is a good feeling. I'm pleased but it will be better if I can do the same in qualifying!"

Takuma Sato made it a one-two finish for Jordan, when he ended up second, just 0.6sec slower than his much more experienced team mate and as yesterday both drivers got a lot of mileage under their belt
It was a hassle free day for the team, although two red flags late in the day meant some small interruption.

While not much can be read into testing times, especially in a 2001 car, albeit with some 2002 components, the day has shown that both drivers are settling into the team well.

Much of the team's work today was again testing new tyre compounds for Bridgestone. While it is still early days, and much data is still to be collected, so far the results look promising. "Our prototype intermediate is a clear improvement on last year's tyre which is very encouraging," explained Hisao Suganuma, Bridgestone's Technical Manager. "The results from this week will be useful in pointing us in the right direction for future development." Testing continues at Valencia next week from 15th to 17th, both drivers are again expected to attend.
