Sato tests.

Day two at Barcelona and Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato managed to complete a total of 104 laps in their Jordan Honda EJ11s, as yesterday, in very changable weather conditions.
Fisichella posted the eighth fastest lap time of the day with a 1:20.70 and Sato ending the session a secons slower, with 1:21.73, for thirteenth fastest.
Fisichella completed 36 trouble free laps in damp morning conditions, working on Honda’s engine development and intermediate tyre testing for Bridgestone, before a scheduled engine change at lunchtime. Unfortunately some software problems and a trip into the gravel trap limited him to complete just 12 laps this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Sato concentrated on general set-up and work on development brakes. His tyre test programme this afternoon was interrupted by a number of red flags and an ‘off’ into the sand pit.
During their lunch hour, both drivers carried out media interviews and a photocall, and took time to talk with fans and sign autographs.
Fisichella participated in a Bridgestone press conference when the session ended, alongside Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer and Hisao Suganuma, Bridgestone’s technical manager. Giancarlo and Badoer were the only Bridgstone drivers to be driving their 2002 tyre, no reports yet as to whether it is an improvement over 2001 equivelant.
Gary Anderson, Jordan's Director of Race and Test Engineering, commented, "We've had quite a productive day although we were hampered again by changing weather conditions. The car was better this morning than it was yesterday in similar conditions, which is a positive step. The team continued to work on car set-up variations in order to respond to the track conditions, and we successfully carried out some tyre testing for Bridgestone, and routine car set-up modifications. The whole team has got back into the swing of things very quickly and are working well together."
