Wednesday saw Giancarlo Fisichella join Takuma Sato and Marcel Lasée on the second day of the four day Jordan test session in Barcelona.
Sato spent the day on set-up and driver comfort with the EJ12, and tested cooling and oil systems for the new car. He completed 31 laps and posted a best time of 1:22.04.
Meanwhile, Lasée ran for 39 laps in the EJ11 during the morning, working on familiarisation, general set-up, brake testing and control systems. His best time was 1:20.37 and the team has said it is pleased with his performance during his two days of testing.
Fisichella took over from Lasée this afternoon and tested development brakes and front suspension geometry, as well as continuing work on general set-up. He completed 27 laps and was seventh quickest on the time sheets with a lap time of 1:20.10.
Jordan will continue its test programme in Barcelona for a further two days, with Fisichella driving the EJ12 and Sato testing development parts on the EJ11.
Takuma Sato finished the day in some discomfort once again, as he experiences problems with his EJ12 seat. He also stated that he found the new car unstable underbraking. Some new components are expected for Giancarlo Fisichella before the end of the test.
