A race distance for Takuma.

On Tuesday Jordan Honda completed a productive second day of testing at Silverstone with both Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato completing a good number of laps.
Sato carried out a race simulation, punctuated by two pit stops and a red flag. He finished 74 laps, the most of any driver, and was fourth quickest with a lap time of 1 minute 24.635 seconds.
He was up until all hours on the previous night having a seat fitting in the hope of finding a comfortable seating position in the EJ12, and it was worth his while, it seems. He has been successful and ran the race distance with no big problems.
In the afternoon he began some aerodynamic work but rain forced him to abort the programme early.
Fisichella ran his EJ12 for 52 laps, concentrating on a race simulation with his Melbourne specification engine. His run was disrupted a number of times by small problems, including a breakdown which brought out the red flags in the morning and caused him to be towed back to the pits, and the team are confident all his problems can be sorted. He had a more positive afternoon session and finished third quickest.
Giancarlo Fisichella has now finished his pre-season testing and returns home to Monaco tonight to rest in preparation for the Australian Grand Prix. He is happy with the progress made over the last few weeks, especially the latest Honda engine.
“This is the last day for me before Australia," he said. “I must say I am a little bit more relaxed! The engine is revving higher and I think it has more power now, we still have to sort out some reliability problems. But I am a lot happier now."
Takuma Sato will remain in Silverstone and spend two more days on the test programme. Both drivers will attend Jordan Honda's team presentation in Brussels on Friday 22 February before flying to Tokyo for the Honda Pre-season press conferences and then on to Melbourne.
