19th February - Few laps for both drivers on day 1 at Silverstone.

More gremlins for for Takuma.
The two Jordan drivers had a frustrating day as their mechanics spent much of the day dismantling and rebuilding cars in the final week of preparation before they are shipped off to Melbourne for the season’s opening Grand Prix in 10 days time.

Fisichella also had a minor off when he spun off at Stowe after he hit a stone that dislodged his front wing, but his car was undamaged. When he did finally get to put in a few solid laps in the afternoon, the Italian was pleased with the progress Jordan have made, "I am a lot happier today," he commented despite his accident. "With the new configuration the car is a lot better. It has better balance and much more grip, now what I need is the horse power from Honda."
He set his fastest time on his first flying lap.

Takuma Sato only managed one quick, timed lap and did not venture out onto the track until just before 16.00 because of work still to be completed on his car.

Both drivers are now looking forward to testing the Melbourne-spec Honda engine on Tuesday and Wednesday. These two days will complete the final test before heading to Brussels for the launch, then to Tokyo for Honda PR events and finally Melbourne.
