Sato completed 71 laps and recorded the third quickest lap time of the day with 1:18.95. He carried out race simulation work, tyre testing and general set-up development.
Takuma commented, “It’s been a good test, especially today. A problem stopped me from finishing the full race distance, which I really wanted to do. The new car is improving all the time, though, and everyone is working very hard, so at the Silverstone test next week we should have ironed out the problems and I will be able to complete a race distance then.”
Recent tests for the Japanese have been very painful because of the angle he has to sit in the EJ12 with its high nose. Thankfully, Sato's seat problems will soon be a thing of the past. “I had the seat modified last night and it is a lot better, but I still have some discomfort from before this was modified. However, I will be able to make a proper seat for Silverstone (the next test)."

Fisichella ran his EJ12 for a total of 81 laps and was relatively pleased with his lap times and efforts spent on race simulation and general set-up.
“We had a couple of problems this week, but overall it’s been productive, particularly the last day, as it was good to do a race distance," the Italian clarified. “I’m looking forward to the season with confidence in the new engine and the car seems to be getting better each day.”

Jordan leaves Barcelona tonight and will complete its final test session before the Australian Grand Prix at Silverstone next week with both drivers.
