Fisichella unhurt in big crash.

Jordan Honda today completed its three-day test in Valencia, with Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato, in warm and sunny conditions.
Fisichella completed 19 laps and recorded a best lap time of 1:15.10, however his day of testing ended prematurely this morning when he had a shunt into the barrier just before turn 3, the cause of which is still unknown. Early reports suggested bakes failure was the source of the accident, but these have since been denied by the team.
Giancarlo was uninjured, apart from some slight bruising to his knee, and following his standard ten-minute check-up at the medical centre. The EJ12 was damaged at the rear end and it would not have been possible to fix there and then. While there was an EJ11 available for the Italian to use, the team decided to rest him for the rest of the day, in preparation for the scheduled Barcelona test next week.
Takuma Sato had a mostly trouble free and very positive day. He also had a spin in the morning session, but his EJ12 was undamaged, so was able to carry out a heavy workload.
He completed 63 laps in the new EJ12 chassis and his attempted race simulations were successful other than several interruptions by red flags. His top time of the day was nearly a second quicker than his best of yesterday.
The team will leave Valencia and go to Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya, where it will test from Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th February with both drivers.
