You may remember that 4 years ago there was a rumor that Siai Marchetti was selling their tooling to a Russian company for production of the SF260 in Russia. Well, they sent over the drawings and were on the verge of sending the jigs when Ruddia defaulted on all of their foreign debts.

Now Russia is producing a plane they call the Marchetti. It model 2090 and resembles a SF260 slightly. Diversified Composites is selling the plane for $85,000 less engine and instruments. Their web site is:

Here is what it looked like. The wings were no where around. I wanted to go to the supposed warehouse where they were stored but could never arrange a trip with the owner.

I wanted to see if the wings were as thin as they are on the SF260.
