My MUSH...
Okay. Ask anyone that knows me, this is a horrible addiction of mine. MUSH stands for Multiple User Shared Hallucination. No, it has nothing to do with drugs. You log into a UNIX box online, offer up a port address, and leave reality behind. MUSHes can take place in any world that their maker chooses. There are mushes based off of books, movies, even songs. People go there, create characters, play them, and just have a chance to live another life. It's entirely imagination-based, so there aren't really limits.
Because I recognize my addiction, I only play on two mushes. And really, I only concentrate on one. It's based in a world taken from Anne McCaffrey's 'Crystal Singer' books. It is appropriately named CrystalMUSH. Here's the information if you want to log in and check it out!

You can access the MUSH from a dumb telnet box, but I really recommend going and getting SimpleMU. It's a client to make your MUSH experience more enjoyable. I know it's better for ME..
The other MUSH I play on is CrystalDREAMS Mush. CDreams was the first MUSh I ever played on and after a somewhat unfortunate run-in with some of the more power-hungry players and staff, I left and brought every char concept I had to CrystalMUSH, above. Recently, however, I was approached by a player who had come to my webpage, listed in my +finger information, and asked me, "Why do you think CrystalDreams sucks? (Because before this update, that's what I had written here. That it sucked. And it did.) I told her and she very quietly but confidently assured me that it was changing. For some reason, I offered to help, and true to her word, it's a fun place to be again, where people are centerd on RP. Fun RP. 208.37.76.68, port 5000. Go there and play. You may even see me on. I really suggest you read the books before you play the game. You can come in fresh, having never read them, but it helps quite a bit. They're not heart-stopping books, but I enjoyed them.
Okay. I had to put this in here because it completely blew me away. I MUSH with quite a few people, and I've had TWO of them just leap off the page and say they want to draw my char. Now, if you know any of my chars, once you see this, you'll know who. There are two guys on the mush I play on that look almost exactly the same. One of them's Me, and the other is...well, if I told you that, you'd know who I was. Anyway, here are those pictures.
