Rebecca Chosen Wife of Isaac
Rebecca and the servant of Abraham . |
Abraham's servant prayed to be lead to the woman chosen for a wife for Isaac. |
Before he finished, Rebecca came to the well. The girl was very beautiful and she was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milcah, who was the wife of Abraham's brother Nahor. |
She drew water for him to drink and for his camels. When he found out that the Lord led him to the house of his master's relative he bowed down and worship the Lord in thankfulness. |
He gave her a gold nose ring and two gold bracelets. The girl ran and told her mother's household about these things. |
Then her mother and brother Leban answered, "This is from the Lord: Here is Rebecca; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master's son, as the Lord has directed." |
