SAILOR OBERON: YEAR ONE

PART FIVE: WINDY'S NIGHTMARE (BY INVID HELLCAT)

Kammie's Property:

The black blast energy hit the ground just as Windy dove out of the

way. The blast left a small smoking crater where the two girls had

once stood. Windy saw Sean and Kammie take defensive stances. "You

girls get out of here we'll handle this." Kammie shouted as both her

and Sean took out their spirit wards. Windy helped Janet to her feet.

"Go, find a place to transform." Janet whispered into Windy's ear.

Windy just nodded in response. Janet then put her hand on Windy's

shoulder. "Good luck and come back to me." Janet said as tears started

to sting her eyes. Windy just smiled and kissed Janet on her right

cheek. "Don't worry babe. I will, I promise, now you get somewhere

safe." Windy replied as she watched her friend run for a hiding place.

"Now, it's time to tango." She muttered under her breath as she took

her henshin stick out of her pocket. She took one final look around her

to see if anybody could see her. Satisfied that no one could she lifted

her henshin stick over her head. "Oberon Power, Makeup!" She shouted

her transformation phrase. With a flash of light and a wall of magma

Windy Hayes was transformed into the Senshi of Magma, Sailor Oberon.

She ran back to where she had left Sean and Kammie. Much to her

surprise they were holding their own against the Youma. When she

finally came into the clearing she announced her presence. "On behalf

of the House of Uranus in the name of the Moon of Oberon. I shall

punish all those who bask in evil's might." The creature stopped his

assault on Kammie and Sean and turned to face this new threat. Windy

stopped for a second when she noticed a symbol of light appear on Sean's

forehead. She had never seen that symbol before in her life, but yet it

seemed oddly familiar. Sean took a step back as some long forgotten

memories of another life came flooding back to him. He knew this girl,

in a life before this he knew her, he had helped this girl become who

she is. "He's a Senshi?" Windy mumbled under her breath. The Youma had

a surprised look on his face when saw Sean's birthright appear on his

forehead. "No, not another one." It yelled as it shot more of its black

energy at Sean. Sean his spirit ward at the attack and the two canceled

each other out. "Sailor Oberon now is the time to prove yourself. Don't

fail me." Sean shouted as both he and Kammie continued their own

assault on the Youma. Kammie smiled at hearing her son speak those

words. Sailor Oberon nodded didn't say a word she used the distraction

to press her attack. "Magma Shot!" She commanded her attack to life.

The Youma never saw the attack coming. It hit the creature just below

the neck. The Youma then screamed in pain before its body crumbled into

dust. Sailor Oberon pumped her fist in the air and gave a shout of

triumph. Then she looked over at Sean for and recomposed herself. At

that glance Sailor Oberon knew exactly who she was looking at. She

walked up to him and gave him a slight bow. "General Apollo, I had no

idea you'd be here." She spoke sounding nervous. Sean just looked at

the Senshi and returned her bow. "And, I had no idea that any Senshi

had survived. Have you encountered any others? Sean spoke his voice a

flat monotone. Windy shook her head. "None that I've seen sir." She

replied matter of factly. Just then a bronze cat jumped down from the

trees. "Windy you looked impressive. General Apollo, so other Senshi

are alive in this time as well." Loki said sounding grateful to have

found another living Senshi. Kammie shook her head. "Yes, others like

him have survived, but now is not his time. His destiny has yet to

come. You know what must be done." She said to the cat not sounding the

least bit surprised to hear a cat speak. If Loki were human he would

have nodded his head in agreement. Sean looked at his mother. He had a

far away look in his eyes. Then he seemed to come back to reality.

"Yes, she is right of course now is not my time. Loki erase my memories

of the past." Sean stated calmly. Sailor Oberon looked in confusion.

"Wait, what do you mean not your time. I need some help here. I can't

keep going on alone." Windy protested. But Sean, Kammie, and Loki would

have none of it. "Sailor Oberon, you can do this just remember what I

taught you a life time ago and you'll be just fine." He told her as he

walked over to her and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. He then

whispered into her ear. "Besides, we'll meet again soon enough." He

said as he then walked over to Loki. "Now, do that which must be done."

He said. Loki just responded by asking Sean to hold still for a few

seconds. The symbol of Uranus on Loki's forehead started to glow. Then

a thin beam of light shot from the cat's forehead to Sean's. After but

a few short seconds it was all over and Sean fell unconscious. "What

will happen now?" Windy asked. "What must now take your friend, and

don't worry about us." Kammie said in a tone that brooked no argument.

Windy just grabbed Loki and then went off to find Janet. While she was

making her way back home Windy couldn't help but smile knowing that

more Senshi than just herself had survived. Now, the world had a

fighting chance.

Joe Majere's Home:

Joe had heard the telepathic call from his henchman. But not enough

information had been revealed to him so he pinpoint the exact

location, and now the telepathic connect was lost and that could only

mean one thing his Youma was now dead. Exact location or not he would

find them, Janet and Windy, and he make them pay. Joe was fed up with

being embarrassed by Windy. Suffering be damned Windy was going to die.

And, oh yes it would be a very painful death, but before she died she

would watch that who was closest to her die a slow and painful death

herself. Yes, the last conscious memories that Windy would have would

be hearing her best friend screaming in pain and agony and then

watching her go silent after death had claimed her. Then and only then

would he let Windy out of her suffering and end her life too.

Three days later, Windy's House:

Windy was laying on her bed the feeling that she had gotten three days

ago didn't go away in fact it got worse. Even though she had defeated

that Youma it didn't mean that the threat to Janet was over yet. As

long as Joe was alive the threat would never end. Windy knew that it

was just a mater of time before he struck again, and she had a feeling

in her gut that when he struck it would be while she was preoccupied

with other matters. Joe was only one of many problems there was still

Zephyr, the one responsible for everything that's happened lately

including turning Joe into that hideous creature Xombor. Windy rolled

over onto her stomach. "Damnit this is driving me insane." She swore

as she slammed her fist down on the bed. Loki was laying on the

nightstand. Stood up. "Settle down Windy getting bent out of shape

isn't going to help you out any." The cat said flatly. "You have no

idea do you Loki? Some super-powered maniac wants to kill my best

friend." She snapped back. She clinched her fists. "And, there's no way

that I can protect her twenty-four seven. I'm angry, I'm frightened;

so don't preach to me about not getting bent out of shape. I've been

bent out of shape every since you turned me into Sailor Oberon!" She

continued still using the same angry tone. 'Uphill battle is too light

a term for what I'm going thru.' Loki thought to himself. "I didn't

turn you into anything I merely made you aware of your true destiny.

I made you remember who you truly are." The cat replied sounding more

than a little annoyed. Windy rolled onto her back and just snorted.

Tears began to roll down Windy's cheeks. 'I'm not frightened I'm bloody

well terrified.' Windy thought to herself. Windy took in a deep breath

and let it out very slowly she knew that being angry at Loki wasn't

going to solve anything. Everything was still happening so fast it all

still seemed all too surreal. Overwhelming was an apt term to use.

Zephyr, Xombor, and the other strange occurrences have just been too

much to handle, and then there was those strange dreams and fragmented

memories about this unknown daughter of Saturn. All of that was just

being compounded by the simple fact that Janet's life was deadly peril.

Windy resolved then and there that her first priority would be to make

sure that Janet was safe. She did have nothing to do with any of this.

She was just an innocent bystander that got caught in the middle of

something that needn't concern her. "I don't know how just yet, but I

swear that you'll get thru this nightmare alive Janet." Windy whispered

to herself as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She then reached up

and turned her light off to go to sleep.

Janet's House:

Janet looked at the VCR clock for the third time in the last twenty

seconds. 2:56 a.m. it read in bright green numbers. Janet had the night

terror again. She had been up for the last three hours now. She had

given up on trying to get back to sleep; Janet decided to sit in her

darkened living room just listening to the silence. Her nightshirt was

soaked with sweat. It clung to her like a second skin. She got up from

the couch and walked into the kitchen. She was frightened after the

events of three days ago she was almost certain that her night terror

was no mere dream, but vision of the future. Call it whatever you want

to a prophecy, a revelation, or simply a vision it didn't matter in the

end she somehow knew that it was true and that her life would come to

an abrupt and untimely end. The only question was when. Her nightshirt

was beginning to feel uncomfortable but was nothing compared to the

feeling in her gut and in her heart. She walked over to drawer and took

out a note pad and a pen, and she started to write. She was writing

goodbye notes to her mother and father, to Pam, Justin, but most of all

to Windy. Windy and Janet were both only children, but that never

stopped them from viewing one another as sisters. Janet had to stop

writing as she started to cry. "Windy, I'm so sorry. I don't want you

to have to suffer because of me, but it looks like you will anyways.

Damnit life is so unfair." Janet cried as she pounded he fist on the

counter top. She sat on the floor for several minuets before she stood

up again and finished her letter. "I love you Windy, please never

forget me after I'm gone." Janet said as she took the letters up to

her room. She opened up her nightstand and took out a small photo

album. She looked thru all the pictures that were in it. Most were

pictures of her and Windy. They had been taken during a spring break

trip to the States a couple of years ago. There was one picture of

Windy stretched out in a rocking chair with her hands behind her head

and a lop-sided grin on her face; she was wearing a tee shirt that had

half of a pink heart on it that had the word "friends" on it and the

word "ever" just below that. It had a heart drawn on the front and was

signed on the back, "To my "big" sister, ever since we've met you've

been my best friend, I hope that we'll be always be best friends. Love,

your "little" sister Windy." Janet held that picture in her hands. For

almost an hour she just stared blankly at it. So, many good times, so

many wonderful memories. Janet started to cry again. "All that for

what? So, I can get killed for no reason at all. Is that the entire

purpose of my life? Just so I can die a meaningless death?" She yelled

as she then collapsed to her knees deep sobs wracking her entire body.

In a few minutes Janet had cried herself back to sleep.

The next Morning, Winston Churchill Memorial City Park:

Windy and Janet had decided to meet an hour earlier than normal. They

were sitting on a bench. Janet had explained all about the night terror

that she had been having for the last few years and now for the last

three days straight. Windy took her sobbing friend into an embrace and

kissed the top of her head. "Janet, it's just a dream. I'm not gonna

let you die. I'll protect you." Windy spoke in a soothing tone as she

gently stroked Janet's hair. Janet lifted her head so her eyes would

meet Windy's. "No, sis it is true. I don't know how but I just know

it's..." She never finished her sentence as she broke down into deep

sobs once again. Windy just held her sobbing friend in her arms trying

everything she could think of to calm her friend down. "Come on babe

lets just walk around for a while." Windy said as she took Janet by her

hand and gently helped her stand. The two friends just walked around

the park. Hand in hand and in silence. As the walk continued Janet's

mood gradually began to lighten. 'Maybe she's right, maybe all it is,

is nothing more than a dream.' Janet thought to herself as she gave

Windy's hand a slight squeeze. Windy returned the gesture. She gave

Windy a slight smile when they stopped walking for a few seconds. Windy

smiled back and leaned in. "That a girl." Windy whispered softly into

Janet's ear. Janet's smiled widened at the comment. "Too bad we're both

girls otherwise I'd ask you be my girlfriend Windy." Janet said in a

low voice. This made Windy giggle. "Hey, I thought the thing flirting

was my shtick." Windy replied as she continued to giggle. Janet

laughed. "Yes, it is but that doesn't mean I can't once in a while."

Janet responded. Windy hugged Janet and kissed her cheek. "Glad to see

you're finally feeling better. I hate to say this babe, but you look

like hell." Windy spoke into Janet's ear. Janet just laughed. "I guess

I do, after crying myself to sleep last night, and all the crying I've

been doing this morning. I guess I do look pretty bad." Janet whispered

back. Windy once again took Janet by the hand and led her into the

restroom so she could wash her face.

Zephyr's Base:

"Xombor, why haven't you finished off Sailor Oberon yet?" Zephyr

yelled. "Don't worry mistress. I shall in fact today I will finish this

I know exactly how and when to strike. And, when I do Sailor Oberon

will be out of your hair forever." Xombor said in a demonic sounding

voice. This brought a smile to Zephyr's lips. "Also mistress Zephyr,

Sailor Oberon's death shall be slow and painful as an added bonus for

all the trouble she's caused us." Xombor continued. Zephyr was now

ecstatic. The thought of her biggest obstacle being eliminated slowly

and painfully was more than she could ever hope for. "Do it, but the

killing blow shall be mine and mine alone understand?" Zephyr said in

a voice that would harbor no argument. Xombor bowed. "Of course

mistress." He said as he then disappeared. Zephyr was now alone with

her thoughts this would be the day that she would finally prove herself

to her queen. Surely, surely defeating Sailor Oberon would not only

impress Queen Beryl, but also be enough to win over General Jedeite's

affections. "My reward will be more than I can ever hope to imagine."

Zephyr said as she laid down in her bed. "Soon very soon everything and

more that I ever wanted will be with in my grasp." She laughed as she

too vanished from her base.

Queen Elizabeth I Jr. High School:

Windy opened her locker to get some of her books, but she was surprised

to find a folded up letter inside of her locker. The letter was

addressed to Windy Hayes or Sailor Oberon. Windy narrowed her eyes when

she read that. "Great that psycho knows who I am." Windy muttered under

her breath. She tucked the letter in her shorts pocket. Then she walked

off to her first period class and acted like nothing was wrong. She was

hoping that anybody who saw her would buy her little act. As had been

the case since school started the periods seemed to drag on. It seemed

like they took three hours instead of just one hour, and lunch seemed

to take thirty seconds instead of thirty minuets. Windy and Janet were

sitting in their usual spot. "So, what was it you told me you wanted to

show me?" Janet asked remembering what Windy had told her during their

second period class. "This." She said as she pulled the letter out of

her pocket. Janet's eyes bulged when she who the letter was addressed

to. "It seems that Joe or Xombor, or whatever he's called now wants to

finish what we started the other day. Frankly so do I." Windy stated

plainly. Janet looked Windy eye to eye. "Windy, you know it's a trap.

He's setting you up." Janet said as she put her left hand on Windy's

shoulder. Tears were again welling up in Janet's eyes. Windy took

Janet's hand in her own. "I know, but I also know that I have no

choice. If for no other reason than to keep you safe." Windy whispered.

The two girls embraced each other tightly. Windy kissed Janet on her

forehead. "I love you big sister." Windy said as she gave Janet a warm

smile. Janet smiled back. "I love you too little sister." The two girls

then walked back into the school to finish up the day. The one thing

that Windy never did tell Janet was that even when Xombor was dead the

threat wasn't completely over. 'Kill Xombor and I still have Zephyr to

deal with then and only then will it be completely over.' Windy thought

to herself. The most terrifying thought of all for Windy was maybe just

maybe that dream of Janet's was more than just a dream, and then the

vow she made to protect her best friend was all for naught.

After School, in the Park:

Janet and Windy sat down on their normal bench talking about anything

and everything except Joe's challenge. They both figured that there

would be plenty of time afterward to talk about that. Suddenly the area

around the two girls went pitch black. Janet clung to Windy for dear

life. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my two favorite dykes." A voice

boomed from the darkness. "Damnit Joe, or Xombor whatever you're

calling yourself now why don't you show your cowardly ass!" Windy

shouted back at the darkness. The only response was laughter. "I show

myself when and where I will, and trust me Sailor Oberon next time you

see me it will be the last time you see anything." Joe's voice

threatened. Windy then felt an electrical shock permeate though out her

body. She lost her grip on Janet. "Windy help me!" She heard Janet cry.

Not being able to see Windy blindly flailed in the darkness trying to

find her best friend. "Windy, don't let him take me!" Janet cried

again. After that all that could be heard was Xombor's laughter. "Too,

late Sailor Oberon. Your beloved Janet is now mine. If you want to see

her alive again you'll come to the place that I laid out in my

challenge letter to you, and as an added bonus if you beat me I'll let

her go free." He laughed then slowly the darkness began to dissipate.

"Janet, I'm coming. Xombor you're dead do you hear me? You're dead once

I find you!" Windy shouted as she withdrew her henshin stick. "Oberon

Power, Makeup!" Windy said as a wall of magma surrounded her body. Once

again the Senshi of Magma stood ready to fight for the values of love

and justice. "Xombor you're mine!" She shouted as she leapt into the

air. Standing in the shadows a figure dressed in a green Sailor Fuku

stood and watched. "Now, it begins. The hardest road that you will ever

have to travel in this life Windy Hayes." The figured whispered and

then vanished.

Windy's House:

Windy landed on the roof of her house. At this point she didn't care if

anybody saw her or not. She was going to pick up Loki and then go off

to finish the fight with Xombor. When Loki saw Sailor Oberon come in

thru the window he immediately knew that something was amiss. "Windy

what's wrong?" Loki asked but he got no reply other than Windy picking

him up. "Windy?" The cat asked again as he laid himself across the

girl's shoulders. "Janet's been kidnapped by Xombor." Was all she said

as she leapt out the window. Loki just left whatever he was going to

say unsaid. His only thought, his only hope at the moment was that

Windy could keep herself composed enough to finish the job. If she got

distracted here there would be no tomorrow. This was going for broke,

all or nothing, life or death. This was by far the biggest challenge

that Windy will have faced to date. Loki could only hope that she was

ready, and able to stay focused.

Exhibition Stadium:

Janet was scared. She couldn't see anything as she had been blindfolded.

She couldn't move as her hands and feet had been bound together. She

couldn't speak as she had been gagged. She could hear Xombor's voice

and laughter, and his laughter was the most evil sounding thing that

Janet had ever heard in her life. She couldn't feel anything below her

feet so she must be hanging in the air, or so she figured. "Don't worry

Janet. Your lover will be here, I doubt that she'll forsake you." She

heard Xombor laugh. Then she heard a second voice a female voice.

"Master Xombor, look here she comes." The voice said. "I can see that

you twit now go and greet her." Xombor ordered. Janet heard the female

give a grunt she figured that the female must have been pushed or

shoved. "A...a...at once master." The female stuttered. Janet felt a

hand trace across her cheek. "Yes, my dear just as I figured. Your

knight in shining armor has arrived." Xombor laughed again. Then all

went silent. 'Windy, you can do this. I know you can.' Janet thought to

herself fighting back tears. Windy landed in what would normally be

center field. She saw a grotesque figure stand in front of her. "Sailor

Oberon you're death..." It never got a chance to finish. "Magma Shot!"

Windy shouted as magma shot from her half closed fist. The Youma then

screamed in pain, and it's body disintegrated. "Sorry, but I don't have

time for the welcoming committee." She shouted at the pile dust that

now stood at her feet. "Xombor come out and show yourself you coward!"

Sailor Oberon screamed as loud as she could. A laugh could be heard.

Then a black portal appeared in front of Sailor Oberon and Xombor

stepped out of the portal. "Are you ready to die?" The skeletal

creature asked in a flat sounding voice. "Are you ready for hell?"

Sailor Oberon shot back. Xombor laughed and shot a bolt of black energy

towards the Senshi. She dodged it. "May I remind you my dear that last

time you barely won, and that was only because I underestimated you,

and overestimated myself. Two mistakes that I will not repeat today."

Xombor spoke as he glared at Sailor Oberon. "Story of your life isn't

Joe?" Sailor Oberon shot back. She leapt at him with a spin kick. He

blocked it and knocked Windy off balance. She landed flat on her back.

Xombor shot more of his black energy at the Senshi but again she

managed to dodge it. Windy leapt to her feet. She knew that she

wouldn't be able to beat him the same way twice, so she had to think of

something else. "Where's Janet?" She asked in a venomous tone. "That is

not your concern right now." Xombor answered nonchalantly. Windy again

leapt at him with a flying kick. This time she connected and sent

Xombor stumbling backwards. "Nice trick. Distract me with a question

while you attack me." He laughed. Windy took an attack stance. She

looked like she was beginning to power up for her magma attack.

"Magma." She started. Xombor laughed again. "Sending me a telegram?" He

said as he leapt over Sailor Oberon's head preparing to strike her from

the back, but at the last second Windy spun around. "Shot!" She

commanded her power to life once again. The attack connected with the

creature's chest. Xombor laughed again. "You, fell for our trap." He

said as his body turned to dust then vanished. Sailor Oberon looked

confused she saw nothing else in the stadium, but she did have that

feeling like death itself had touched her spine. "That was far too

easy." Loki said as he walked up to Windy. "Yeah, and what did he mean

that I fell their trap?" Just then she saw a sphere of darkness descend

in front of her. "Because you stupid dyke you killed one of my flunkies

not me." Xombor's voice laughed out of the darkness. "Step into the

sphere if you want to challenge the real me, and this time no tricks."

Xombor said once again. "Fine." Was all Windy said in response as she

stepped inside the sphere.

Inside the sphere:

When Windy saw the inside of the sphere she noticed that it looked just

like the stadium. The only difference was the stadium now looked run

down and the grass was brown, and the clay on the infield had a blood

red look to it. "As I said before no tricks, and if you beat me Janet

will go free." Xombor said sounding almost human. "Fine the sooner we

start the sooner I can send you to hell." Windy angrily stated. Xombor

just laughed. "We shall see." He stated. He then took a fighting

stance. Windy did likewise. The soon began in earnest. Punches and

kicks being thrown, energy, and magma attacks being used. Just like the

first time it was a virtual stand still. Just like their battle the

first one to err would walk away the winner. Xombor wasn't going to

make the same mistake again. He now knew what signs to look for that

would let him know when Sailor Oberon was feeling desperate. Then he

would strike with his most powerful attack. Janet couldn't see what was

happening but she could hear everything. She was scared that maybe

Windy didn't have enough in her to win the day. If that was the case

then she knew that they were both dead. The only thing she could do was

hope that somehow someway Windy would find a way to win. The sound that

Janet heard made her shiver in terror. Sailor Oberon let out a cry of

pain, and that was followed by more of Xombor's laughter. "Does it

hurt?" Xombor sneered as he looked on after he just thrown Windy into

the outfield wall. Windy could only feel pain in her left leg she was

sure that the bone was broken. Even with her advanced healing that

injury would take a while. "How could I have been so stupid?" She said

under her breath. She went avoid an attack that was an obvious feint,

and then she paid the price for that. She hobbled up as best as she

could using the wall for support, and trying to keep her injured left

leg off the ground. Windy felt a cold shiver go up her spine. This time

it seemed as though death was trying to give her some comfort before

she welcomed her into it's embrace of never-ending slumber. Windy

gritted her teeth. "No it can't end like this. I won't let it!" She

screamed again. Xombor just laughed as he approached the injured

Senshi. "You no longer have a choice of how it will end. For your life,

what little is left of it, is now mine to do with as I please." He said

as then hoisted Windy over his shoulder. "I'm not going to kill you

just yet. First I want to you see something special that I've been

saving for you as a going away present. Namely letting you watch Janet

die." Xombor laughed again after he spoke. Sailor Oberon chose not to

struggle once she found out that Xombor wasn't going to kill her right

away. She was going to use this time to let herself try and get a

second wind and maybe give her healing factor the chance it needed to

fix her leg. She figured that it was best to bide her time. The only

problem was she didn't know just how much time she had.

Exhibition Stadium, outside the sphere:

The walk out of the sphere seemed to take forever. When she saw that

they were outside again she felt Xombor jump. All Windy concentrated on

was her breathing, she didn't want to expend any more energy than she

had to. She knew that whatever happened next she would have little

time to save Janet let alone herself. She could feel that they landed.

The time was drawing near. It was almost time for her to make her move.

Xombor laughed again. "Giving up Windy? Conceding defeat because you

know you never stood a chance to begin with? Then you're a smarter girl

than I always gave you credit for." Xombor gloated. 'Yeah, you keep

telling yourself that.' Windy thought to herself, but she didn't say

anything aloud. "You know Windy I didn't want to kill you. I just

wanted you to suffer like you made me suffer, but once I found out that

you were a Sailor Senshi I had no choice. After all I can't leave my

Queen's enemies alive, when I bring Queen Beryl your head, both me and

Mistress Zephyr will be greatly rewarded." Xombor stated now sounding

almost bored. Windy could feel her left leg throbbing she was almost

certain that the bone was still broken, but she had no other choice she

had to chance it. She felt Xombor begin to flip her back over. At that

point she put all her weight into attempting to kick off Xombor's body.

She was successful in doing so. She did a flip in midair. "Xombor on

behalf of the house of Uranus, in the name of the moon of Oberon, I

shall defeat you." She landed on her injured leg and lost her balance

she flat on her butt. Xombor just laughed. "Ah, and here I thought that

you had given up, but I see that you still have some fight left in you

after all. Bytheway, very graceful landing, but all for naught I'm

afraid" Xombor spoke. Windy tried to get up but she found that task

difficult. Her leg must have been more injured that she thought.

Finally she managed to stand but she still couldn't put any weight on

her left leg. Fighting now Xombor didn't have kill her outright all he

needed to do was push her off the edge of the roof and the fall would

do the rest. Xombor began to charge at Windy. "Magma Shot!" She shouted

but she didn't send her attack at Xombor but rather the roof under his

feet. The roof melted and Xombor fell thru. Windy knew that all she did

was buy herself a little more time to think of someway to win. Then

from above her she heard Loki's voice. "Windy you'll never beat him

like this, so I have something for you." The cat spoke as he leapt into

the air a new Henshin Stick materialized and floated down to into

Windy's hand. "You're not supposed to have this yet, but there is no

other choice. With this henshin stick you'll achieve your next

transformation which will make you ten times more powerful than you are

now." Loki said. Windy looked at the new Henshin Stick and smiled.

"Loki you're the best." Sailor Oberon replied as she powered down. It

was at that second that Xombor jumped thru the hole in the roof. He

laughed when he saw Windy and not Sailor Oberon standing in front of

him. "So, you have given up. That was the best you could do? Well, then

it's been fun, but Janet will still die first." He said as he then

noticed a stick with a star at the top of it in Windy's hand. "No, I'm

not done yet, and Janet will survive." Windy countered as she lifted

the stick above her head. "Oberon Star Power, Makeup!" Star shaped

light shot out of the stick and then surrounded her body as it turned

into magma. Xombor took a step back during the transformation. When the

magma had settled a new more powerful Sailor Oberon stood ready to

challenge Xombor. Xombor was taken off guard by the sudden turn of

events. "Magma Shot!" Sailor Oberon commanded her attack to life. At

only the last second Xombor attempted to dodge. But the attack hit his

arm and it disintegrated. Xombor let out a scream of pain. "How did you

get so powerful all of a sudden?" He roared. Before they had been at an

almost equal power level now Sailor Oberon was considerably stronger.

"Does it really matter? Now I finish this." She prepared to attack

again. "Maybe I will lose but I will get some modicum of victory

today." Xombor stretched out his remaining arm and shot a black ball

of energy towards the spot where Janet was hanging. The ball of energy

struck the rope and the next thing that Windy saw was Janet plummeting

towards the ground. Xombor laughed. "See I did win." He stated. "Magma

Shot!" Windy shouted and once again a stream of magma shot towards

Xombor. This blast hit him squarely in the middle of his back. Instead

of screaming he only laughed. "I've won!" He shouted again before his

whole body turned to dust then vanished into nothing. The thing that

Windy heard was a sickening thud. After that all that she could

remember was screaming Janet's name, and then cradling her broken body

in her arms. "I'm sorry Janet. I couldn't save you." She cried. "I

couldn't save you!" She shouted again.

Queen Elizabeth I Jr. High School, four hours later:

Windy sat on the roof she had been crying almost non stop since she had

left the hospital. Naturally when Janet's parents had learned of their

daughter's untimely death they were devastated. She felt sorry for

them. Both of their children were now dead. Windy just needed some time

alone so with out telling anybody she took off. When the tears had

dried up she stood up. "Zephyr, I hope that you can hear me you

murderous bitch! I'm coming for and by all that I hold sacred you will

die, or I die trying to kill you! Janet will be avenged!" Windy

screamed into the night.
