Present day, date unconfirmed, standard Earth orbit...

With a single motion of his hand, the large marble doors opened, behind, nothing but shadows and complete darkness. He approached the centre of the room and the spherical ceiling began to glisten with light, the room remained dark as the specs were insignificant to illuminate the room.

He looked up, and other lights activated, his features finally visible to the eye. His rich black hair, fell behind his face, ending around his shoulders. Dark blue eyes, sincere in their look. He was clothed in eloquent silver garments and cape.

A smile emerged his lips. A raise of his hands and the lights dimmed again, a golden podium lit up and became the feature of the room. The man stood there and murmured an incantation.

"Pisces, come forth," his voice raised now. Several lights on the ceiling began to shine brighter to all others, then they died after a flash of blinding light. A creature in its place. A humanoid torso, the lower of its body a large fin, much like a mermaid, it descended through the air and hovered in front of the man.

"You called me Lord Curien?" Pisces asked.

"You know our task well, I expect results, Pisces, go and then return to me," Curien ordered.

"As you command," the creature bowed and then faded away.

Tokyo, Japan...

"Come on girls, the soccer team need the field to practice now!" A female ordered her team of tired girls, one of which was Mina Aino.

'Yeah they need practice,' Mina thought to herself, glad to have finished as the afternoon seemed to drag on for eternity. She sighed, 'only an hour of studying to go.'

Aching with fatigue, she showered and left the school grounds, where a snoring Artemis was waiting outside. "Artemis!"

"Ah! Eight lives left!" The white cat yelled from the fright. Mina giggled, that brought her out of her slump. "Why'd you do that Mina?" A furious guardian asked.

"Cheer up Artemis, after that depressing day, you really cheered me up," Mina replied still giggling.

Now at the age of sixteen, to say Mina had only changed in height would be a big under statement. Her hair was shorter, it finished in an arrow head, which was now level with the bottom of her shoulder blades, and her sidings were combed back and were used to bring the rest of it behind her face.

And because of her sporting attitude, she had come well accustomed to wearing track suits. She always kept a fresh one to walk home in after practice. This time she chosen her white one, it was complimented with an orange trim, lastly the old and battered Adidas trainers, she wore to every netball practice, they were so comfortable to walk she thought, though a fresh pair would be worn to games.

"Hey Mina! Wait up!" The familiar voice of Serena beckoned. Mina turned to face her.

"Serena, you're late, even for detention," Mina laughed, as Serena bounced up to her. Serena herself had managed to mature in her own ways, for starters she had her own clumsy way to stay on her feet rather than making a calamity earthquake with her stumbles.

Another girl, another new hair style. Keeping her favoured old hair, she added equally long strands falling the other side of her shoulders, cascading down a well developed body. Some theorized that her hair balanced her out now, and if should she tie them back again, she'll fall flat on her face every ten minutes like old days.

"Miss Haruna totally ditched me, and never came back to let out of school, the janitor almost locked me in," Serena whined. "Miss H, will certainly hear about this tomorrow."

"Well do what you want but most kids tend not be in school on Saturdays," Mina replied.

"Its Friday, that means Miss H has a hot date tonight, I usually let myself out, I can't believe I forgot."

"Come on, we have to meet up the others to study," Mina said with a smile. Serena hung her head and moaned. "Come girl, its just for an hour."

"Fifty-nine minutes too long for Serena," Artemis joked.

"Can it Artemis! I can study, just watch me," Serena pouted. She began walking off. Mina caught up quickly.

"Something on your mind Serena?"

"No," the girl sighed, "just the usual school day stress. Lets head for the Temple." The two girls and cat headed off to the Cherry Hill Temple to meet with the rest of their friends.

The sky was particularly dark that evening, sometimes even with the Sun still shining, the odd star could be seen from Tokyo that time of the year. The sun christened the side walk with a jet of warm orange, with the shadows of the two girls walking along. A sudden chill.

"Wow, sure is cold," Serena noted.

"Yeah, even for Autumn," Mina added. "Can you hear that?" Sirens from far off, the girls peered to the sound from the elevated position of Tokyo they were walking along.

"Over there," Serena pointed out to several police cars converging to a single crisis. "Looks like big trouble, lets check it out," Artemis said, jumping from Mina's arms.

"What the hell is that thing?" Kioro asked his partner, swerving the patrol car to its side, they both got behind for cover.

"I'll be damned if I know!" Myhoshi returned drawing his pistol. They both raised from behind the car. "This is the police, surrender immediately or we will shoot!"

"Just try," the monstrosity replied smirking evilly. It approached the two patrol men, gliding gracefully through the air.

"Hold it there!" Kioro shouted, "this is your last warning!" It went on further. Kioro let off a warning shot aimed at the lower region, seeing as he couldn't see any legs of any kind. The creature spiralled quickly, the shot missed all together. Kioro fired again and again. Each times a miss.

Myhoshi assisted in trying to bring down the attacker. The two emptied their clips and hit nothing but air, they ducked to reload.

"Now, what shall I do with you two?" a voice hissed, they looked up to see the spawn over them, both dived to run away. Kioro got away Myhoshi wasn't anywhere near behind. Kioro turned to see the creature have caught him by the throat with its hands.

"Myhoshi!" Kioro unloaded another clip at the monster, the creature hissed at him and took Myhoshi behind the other side of the car.

An ear splitting scream filled the air. Kioro ran to the patrol car, behind, the creature had it hand around his throat still, its other hand poised over the limp body. It seemed to be drawing an eerie mist from Kioro's partners body.

"Myhoshi!" empty of bullets he threw the gun at the creature, hitting it on the fore head, it flinched and glared at the cop. Kioro stared back, fear struck from somewhere he had never felt before. He turned to run, but the creature was too quick, with lightning speed, he was now gasping for air as the creature had a hold of him.

"Stop right there!" A voice boomed. The silhouette of Sailor Moon stood elevated on a wall, the light of the Sun, pushing round from the shape of her body. "The police are here to protect people from everyday scum, and treating them like this will not be tolerated! I for one will put an end to your tyranny!"

"And she's not alone, in the name of Venus, I'll vanquish you!"

"Pretty words, but I empty I assure you," the creature replied. It made a dart for the two, who with great speed evaded it. "not bad," the creature mused. It made for an attack on Sailor Moon.

"Venus Crescent Beam Smash!" A straight arm aimed at the creature and beam of light exploded from Venus' finger point, striking the creature in the torso, knocking it back.

"Great shot Venus, get it while it's down!" Artemis said walking into the fray. Venus answered with a nod.

"Venus Love Chain Encircle!" Again summoning her inner power, Sailor Venus unleashed a string of energy holding the creature trapped. "Anytime now Sailor Moon!"

"Right with you Venus," Moon replied removing her tiara, "Moon Tiara Magic!" Her tiara melded into a disc, which hurtled for the trapped creature, expecting the least it gave cry of pain as it felt the holy collision. An explosion of energy as it disintegrated. "Moon dusted!" Sailor said out loud in triumph.

"Myhoshi!" Kioro shouted shaking the body of his partner. "Get up man, say something!" The Sailors approached the shattered cop. "He's ok right?" he asked them.

Sailor Moon bent down and felt his pulse. She looked at Kioro. "He'll be ok, he needs a lot of rest, you best take him to the hospital," she smiled gently in an attempt to make him feel better. Kioro got his thoughts together.

"He just needs rest, yeah, rest," he picked up the fallen police man. He carried him off, but not before exchanging gratitude for their interference.

*************************

"Where'd that creature come from?" Moon asked. "It can't be the negaverse again."

"It must be, nobody else can summon monsters like that for their dirty work, we better tell the other girls about this, lets go," Artemis answered. The three left quickly.
