Greetings~!

You are at my page because I told you how to get here.
Let me tell you a little about myself.

I''m a 39 y/o computer geek who lives in Dallas.  I enjoy playing chess, camping, backpacking, Toastmasters, comedy movies, helping others and cool weather.

I love my dog & love to cook.  Not that I would cook my dog...:)  I've had some tremendous personal self-improvements recently.  Currently, I'm working on my  home.  It has 1940'S charm but needs some TLC.

I'm down-to-earth and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.  I don't need a Porsche to feel good about myself.  I enjoy traveling around the US.  I went on a 5 day/30 mile hike in the Appalachian mountains of Georgia.  It was incredible!  What beauty~!
I enjoy the enlightening discovery of  the differences in the US regions.   I finished a 3900 mile road trip this summer.

I'm not an effervescent, outgoing person.  I'm more reserved.  I still enjoy meeting people, but my time is valuable to me.  I'd rather shop at  Lowe's for home supplies than sit around a table as strangers I just met get shitfaced.  I need people in my life that hold a higher value of themselves.    Spirituality is very important, you must have a God of your understanding.
More about who I'm looking for: Someone who constructs more than they deconstruct, and speaks more with their eyes than with their mouth.

Psychological attributes which I find attractive in people are respect, independence, courtesy, being down-to-earth and laid back, general intelligence, what I call "socially educated" (open to all people and ideas). The willingness to experiment and learn, ability to open yourself up and express your thoughts/fears/desires/hopes/etc is important. A person with a brain, backbone & an opinion, who keeps me challenged is appealing to me.  I respect that. Intergrity cannot be underscored enough.

Overall I feel grateful for my life, my friends & family, and where I am in life today.  I'm happy!

Thanks for stopping by my page.  Have a great day!
