Since meeting Jeff, it would be fair to say that travel has become yet another hobby of mine. From a home in a village just outside Munich, Germany for 15 months, followed by our current residence in the heart of the county of Wiltshire, England (world famous for Stonehenge and those mysterious crop circles) our two countries of residence have provided variety, color and interest wherever we turned. In addition we have made it our mission to see as much of "the continent" as possible while we're here. With travel through ten countries in the E.U., life has been nothing short of an adventure! In the following pages, you'll find pictures from our travels through Europe, a family photo page which contains pictures of probably more interest to family and friends than for most folks, and a page for the British Isles alone because there's just so much to see here - and we've had more time and more funds for doing so. Jeff is fond of cities and, although we've been through several of the major ones, it's my own partiality to the small towns and villages so you'll find heavily represented here. Besides, there are lots of places on the web where you can get a glimpse of Paris but, unless you're reasonably well-traveled and are inclined to stop at out-of-the-way places, you may not have heard of places like Weinheim or Shrewsbury . NOTE: When you choose a page, you'll find what's called 'thumbnail sketches' of the various pictures. These are pretty puny postage-stamp sized but they take a lot less time to load. For the larger version of any of these pictures, just click on them, wait patiently for them to load to your computer, enjoy and then use your "back" button to return to this page. So without further ado, here are some of our favorite places - so far! |
