WONDERLAND AVENUE

WONDERLAND AVENUE ( Author: Danny Sugerman)***** rated: 10/10

It is obvious by just reading the prolgue that this author KNOWS what he is talking about and is willing to share it with you.. I have never read a book that is as captivating, and as well written as WONDERLANDAVENUE.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the doors. I dont think it is possible for Danny Sugerman to explain his story any better than he already has. This book is truely brilliant. Once you start reading, it is simply impossible to actually WANT to put this book down. I can not even begin to express how much i deeply love WONDERLAND AVENUE. it definitly is a must have for any doors fan.

Besides reading this book for information regarding the doors, it also is great for just pure enjoyment Danny Sugerman knows how to indulge his story within the reader and make them sympathize and relate to his story. Sugerman's proze allows the reader to feel comfortable and familiar with him personally.WONDERLAND AVENUE is told in such a way that the reader is able to visualize the character, locations, and events as they unravel through out the story.

LIGHT MY FIRE- My life with the doors ( author: Ray Manzarek)***** rated 10/10

Light my Fire.....what else can i say about this book besides PURE GENIUS! Ray Manzarek is so increidiably intelligent, kind, Honest, and humerous. Light my Fire shows all those qualities.
Ray tells his story so casualy but yet explains what life was life with the doors so intensly that you begin to feel as though you are right there witnessing each part of his story along with him.

Along with WONDERLAND AVENUE, this book is obviously a must have. Besides being written first hand by such a remarckable member of the doors, It also is filled with the humor and affection that everyone can enjoy.

NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE ( author/s: Jerry Hopkins and Daniel Sugerman) ** rated 4/10

''
No one here gets out alive" is obviously NOT one of my personal favorites. The writter makes Jim look like such an ignorant asshole and does not express any of his wonderful, amazing features. There is much more to Jim than what this book lets on. Although it was co-written by Danny Sugerman ( author of WONDERLAND AVENUE)  i do not feel he could have written such a terrible description of Jim Morrison as a person, and muscian.

THE LIZARD KING-The essential Jim Morrison ( author: Jerry Hopkins)  *** rated 8/10

Jerry Hopkins did a great job at giving the readers an idea of what Jim's childhood was like. "The lizard King" contains many excellent photos along with an indepth look at many characters that have entered Jim's life at numerous periods in his life.
