| March 12, 2002 Had another ultra-sound and it is definatly a boy! I also get a free ultra-sound when I want one. That is great news b/c I thought this was the last time I would see my baby before he came into this world. March 13, 2002 I have been so busy lately that I didn't notice how much of a difference there is when he moves now. I was laying on my stomach and it looked like waves on my belly LOL. It was so amazing! April 5, 2002 I had another ultrasound yesterday. I went to the wrong place to have it done but they did one anyway for FREE!!! I don't think they were allowed to do that though, so I hope they don't get into trouble. Anyway, the little man was doing fine! He weights 2.4 pounds now and everything is going right on schedule. He is estimated to weight between 7-8 pounds at the time of birth! April 30, 2002 I haven't updated in a while, but anyway here goes. I didn't pass my first gestational diabetes test so I had to take the 3 hour one. It came back borderline so I have to watch my sugar intake. Anyway, little Cole has been moving around alot more lately. It's beginning to hurt, and I'm getting so tired of the leg cramps and backaches. But its all part of getting this little one into the world. I can't believe how fast this has gone by. May 13, 2002 I went to the doctor today and I had another ultrasound. They said he is in birthing position now, and I am also a finger-tip dilated. I may still be at risk for diabetes, but thats almost over now. I go back next week for another checkup. While they were doing my ultrasound I got really sick and almost passed out. They said it was the pressure of the baby and my position that caused it. The baby was pressing on my vena cava, which is an artery to the heart and it cut off blood flow.... almost passed out! Whoa that was scary! But anyway, the baby is doing fine!!!! Heart Rate 144 and he is doing just fine! I think I may have him a few weeks early, by the way things are coming along. May 18, 2002 Had a baby shower today! May 19, 2002 I was totally right when I said that I think I may have him a few weeks early! I went to the hospital b/c I was bleeding. I had a urinary tract infection that they suspected was causing the contractions. Anyway it caused me to dilate to 2cm at week 35!!!! My doctor said for me to take the antibotics and it should stop the contractions and he said if I can hold the baby for another week that week 36 isn't that bad to deliver and things should be ok. May 22, 2002 I went to the doctor yesterday, he put me on partial bedrest. I suppose if I'm up doing alot it will make me dilate faster... He is getting pretty heavy in there! I hope I can hold him til Friday anyway... Wish me luck! May 28, 2002 Well I have made it a bit longer than I expected. I went to the doctor today and before I left I asked him when did he think I would deliver. He told me that I should deliver any time between now and next week! I'm so excited, and yet very nervous! June 18, 2002 Well so far my doctor has been wrong! He keeps saying "any day now" and I tell ya if I hear that one more time I am going to scream! I am 39 weeks now and in 3 days I will be 40 weeks. Looks like I carried my boy full term anyway. They estimate that he already weighs 8 pounds or more! My doc says if I go overdue that he is going to induce me. So I hope I go into labor soon! I am getting so excited, I can't wait to see what my little boy looks like! I've almost made it!!!!! |
