SANT MAT, which translated means "The Holy Path." God is love and the way back to God is also through love. To know God, to experience Him as a state of being, is the goal to which mystics of all times have aspired. The actual mystical experience has always remained cloaked in a veil of mystery, and even today, the soul's experience of God cannot be described in words.
To experience one's own true self, to undergo this incredible journey, to discover one's own soul, is a verifiable experience open to everyone. This is the initiation or starting point of the great spiritual journey within, the goal of which is to become, once again, one with God.
Sant Mat is a well defined, individual path that leads one directly to God, there to enjoy, to find inner peace and to develop love and trust in God as the acting power in all creation. It is not dependent on extensive esoteric theory and can be followed by man, woman or child of any age, without difficulty.

Sant Thakar Singh, the current Master of Sant Mat, was born on march 26, 1929 in northern India. He worked for many years as a civil engineer for the Indian government. Since his retirement he has selflessly served the spiritual needs of others. He sometimes travels abroad to meet followers of Sant Mat throughout the world. Otherwise, he lives a secluded life in the foothills of the Himalayas and spends the majority of his time in meditation.
