it has been fun hearing from mele, kasier and marie on and off for the last
several months.  i have an idea of what you guys are up to.

seems like yesterday when i went to the airport to say goodbye to my samoan
chapter (wild to think that it was early january 1984).  hey thanks again
for the wonderful surprise going away party!!!  i was definately surprized,
marie has the picture as i walked in the door.  i have pictures of pania,
marie, rudy, reggie (where is that guy?), konrad and some assorted others.
i have other pictures of ms. brain's running club with jebi, rudy (i think
you were there too marie).  yes mark, i think it was you who taught me how
to count in swahili (my son digs it).  james, you taught me more samoan
swear words (not the forum to rattle them off).  too bad i didn't realize
there was a samco network in hong kong, i just relocated to singapore.

what have i been up to?  after trying desperately to keep in touch with
people in samoa after i left (who can attest to that?), i graduated from
high school, then university, got married, got my master's degree in
special education, taught for a few years, had a little boy, took time off
from teaching and moved to hong kong.  that quickly brings us to 1996.  my
husband's job with credit suisse first boston brought us to this part of
the world.  i taught at 2 different schools working with children who have
learning difficulties and spent my other waking moments with our son
nathaniel.  we moved to singapore a month ago and are now settled and are
awaiting the arrival of our second son in may.

nothing too interesting to report.  that is life in a nutshell for me.  my
husband teall knows all about samoa and wants to take a trip there to see
for himself. 

hats off jebi for spearheading this,  i hope it keeps going.  does anyone
know the whereabouts of monique? kerry? ari? geraldine?

news flash from singapore.  andrew morey edds was born on may 20th 1999 at 3:51
am.  he weighed 7lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long.  his bog brother
nathaniel is thrilled though he thinks he looks like a kangaroo.  help me
out on that one.  we are doing well and are trying to create a new routine
for everyone.  hope all is well with all of you.
