in the news

July 19th 2004:
Some news regarding 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'. I've read that the release date for the USA is July 3rd 2005 AND you can visit the official site to keep updated.

April 1st 2004:
It's been quite some time hasn't it? well, I've updated some stuff (links, my email address, etc.) AND i've also added a forum so you guys can chit chat with other Sam fans.

So have fun with the forum and I'll be adding some new pics soon enough.

August 6th 2003:
I'm horrible, I've let 'Starring Sam Rockwell' go without update for so long. I'm here to remedy that now!

Firstly
Check out the new feature I put up, the guestmap. Put a little message up in your neck of the woods and see where there are more Sam fans around the world. The button can also be found in the links section (where it will live permanently)

Secondly
Good news for Toronto fans, a Sam film will once again be at the Toronto International Film Festival. This September (official screening date and time not yet released but it will be between the 4th and the 13th) 'Matchstick Men' will be a gala presentation at the festival. The only problem with that is that galas are hard to get tickets for, they sell out pretty quick.

All of the gala passes are sold out (these will get you a ticket to every gala being screened) but gala single tickets are available to VISA cardholders in person starting Saturday, August 23, 2003. If you do not have a visa card, you can purchase them starting September 3rd (this all subject to availability of course). Gala tickets cost $26 each.

If you can't get a ticket due to it being sold out you can always try your luck at the rush line. This is where you wait (usually most of the day if you want to be at the front of the line) outside of the theater and if any seats are empty 15 minutes before the film starts, they will start selling them to the rush line. Chances are decent that seats will be empty so if you REALLY want to see it and it is sold out, give it a try. Sometimes people will come by and offer to sell you their ticket too, who knows what can happen.

If you can't see the film you can always watch the red carpet action. Good luck to everyone.

January 6th 2003:
I saw 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' yesterday and I loved it! Is there anything better than making your way towards the theater, ticket in hand, to a movie you've been waiting to see for ages? Okay, maybe sex is better.

There's 2 new images up, one under 'misc.' and one in the new section for 'Matchstick Men'.

November 14th 2002:
The official 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' site is up. You can catch the trailer there as well.

Read a script review for COADM over here.

I think this might be the film where we loose Sam to the masses. Everyone will know and love him after 'Confessions....'

There's a new interview in the print section (FilmForce)

August 27th 2002:
For all fans in Toronto, around Toronto, or travellers to the film fest, 'Welcome to Collinwood' is being screened on Saturday, Sept. 7th at 9:30pm at the Uptown theater.

August 21st 2002:
It looks like 'Welcome to Collinwood' is going to be screened at the Toronto International Film Fest. The festival runs from September 5th-14th but the actual date & time of the screening will not be released until Aug. 27th.

August 19th 2002:
* 1 new pic in the 'Welcome To Collinwood' section of photos

* added a section, with 3 pics so far, for 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind'. Go here.

* You can now view the trailer for 'Welcome to Collinwood' on the official site! This movie looks damn funny, I CAN'T wait. It has a release date of October 4th 2002 though this is in limited theaters.

* 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' now has an official site up but the trailer can not be viewed as of yet (keep checking back though). A limited theater release date is set for December 27th 2002 and a full release is set for January 10th 2003.

* Sam can also be seen in Ridley Scott's new film 'Matchstick Men' which also stars Nicholas Cage. It won't be coming out until June of 2003, I know it's a bit of a wait but it's still more to look forward to.

* If you are interested in an 'about Sam's fans' section, please let me know. I'm still interested in starting a page like this where you can tell others about yourself and share stories of meeting Sam.

June 4th 2002: I've just put 6 new photos up in the misc. section of the photo page and started a new section for 'Welcome to Collinwood' (there are 4 photos in there, all from the premier at Cannes). Check them out!

May 15 2002: It's been ages, over a year since I've update. I'm a horrible fan I know...I'm sorry. This is just a little note to say that things will be updated shortly. I'll add his new upcoming movies, new images, new articles, etc. I had a dream about him last night, great inspiration eh! For now, check out the site for '13 Moons' (one of Sam's latest films, should be released August 2002) Oh and please note my new email address. Thanks!

April 27/01: I need YOUR help. I was thinking of putting a 'get to know Sam's fans' section up and I need to know how many of you might want to participate. I would put up short bios (descriptions or whatever), art work, poetry, links to your website, photos, etc. Let me know either by email or by signing the guestbook. I have a nice little poem sent to my by Jennifer to start things off, enjoy!

"Sam is the Man"
There is no other actor as talented as he, there is no other as cute as can be. He is loved by so many - not knowing at all, because of his humbleness and happiness that we always recall. Sam IS the man.
He plays the role in the film that the audience should dislike, but instead - especially to fans - he is even MORE liked. We love his irresistable charm in interviews, which absolutely no one can refuse. We love his friendly smile, which no one can resist for a very long while. Sam IS the man.
Although we know that Sam has potential, we crave for MORE of him in movies -- since he is so very special. Little does this man know how many fans out there care, for the rising star who we know will make it very far out there. For the one and only Sam Rockwell! Because Sam.....IS the man.
-Jennifer A.
