Moshi Moshi!

So sorry for the long wait!  I had to do Science Fair and it is due on the 7th.  But once I finish it this weekend I should have more time to write.  This chapter explains a whoooooole lot and it might be confusing.  Sorry if it is.  I try!  I really do!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Immortality.  To live forever and fight endless continuous battles is a dream for any Saiyan.  The incessant shed of blood splattered on their bodies gives them pleasure.  Pain makes them contented and death makes them happy.  To be, immortal.  A dream to never grow old and to watch days and years go by.  You lived in the past, live in the present, and will live in the future.  And love…  Love is what can tame the wild beast, transform the monster, calm the sea.  Love is a dream of any human, even those that deny the fact that they need it to survive.  Some say that it is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all.  Immortality WITH love then creates heaven, but immortality by itself is hell on earth.  So what is immortality without love?

* * * * *

Have you ever waited for the perfect moment to explain how exactly you felt?  Waited for many months to get the nerve to say, "I love you."  Waited patiently beside that one person pretending to hate them, or like them.  Pretending they were insignificant, or significant.  Ever waited for so long you want to cry when they pass you by?  Or cheer when they smile?  Have you ever wasted a day just waiting?  Or just waited till it was too late?

* * * * *

Iris shook her head at the terrible nightmare.  *Immortality?  Why?  How?*  She shook her head in disbelief, "But… Why?"
Her voice shook.  It was amazing.  She was not at the least moved that her people were destroyed but she was totally torn at the fact that Bulma was killed.  Iris found it hard to except the fact that love can kill.  That an evil man, like Vegeta, had a heart, but because of his denial and confusion, it had lead him to murdering the only one he loved.

Vegeta stared at her, his eyes so barren, so cold.  Tears that had once flowed from his unemotional eyes had dried and created a frightening appearance of the deathly prince.  His tail seemed dead as it wound itself around his waist.  Such a slow movement for the once expressive tail.  It dragged its movements till it pulsed around his waist, winding itself uncomfortably around the prince.  "Because," his voice then became a hushed whisper of death, "I refuse to die."

Iris stared at him questionably, "What do you mean?"

Vegeta seemed irritated in his depressed state, "I have discovered it was people like Bulma that slowed me down.  If she never came into my life I would have already succeeded in becoming the ruler of the universe!"  His breath became ragged as he discovered he shouted his words without a breath.

Iris cowered away from him; her fists tightened into tiny fists.  "How… How could you?!"

Vegeta stared at her negligibly, "How could I what?"

Iris could feel her anger rise as her gem began to glow radiantly, "You woved her!"

He shook his head in utter disgust, "I know no such thing."

Iris’s eyes became blank as he answered her in such bluntness, "You were supposed to wove her," she mumbled sadly realizing he was always the monster that killed her world.

Vegeta’s muscles tensed as he heard her cries.  Was he actually supposed to love her?  He couldn’t, it was impossible.  Someone of his stature was never supposed to feel love, what a horrid feeling.  To cry when they’re sick, to loathe when they fight.  Vegeta felt sick each time he thought of it.  He was stronger than some love-sick fool, he didn’t need love to survive.  To live forever and fight countless wars was all that he ever needed.  He would soon rise and become the devil.  "I never loved her," he sneered at Iris.

Her breathing stopped when she looked up at Vegeta.  His once solemn mood now turned evil and angry.  His tear streaked face contrasted with his angry body, his furious words.  She was afraid to ask, afraid to even wonder what he was getting at,
"What…  What do you mean?"

He gave an immoral smirk, his eyes sleeked over with blackness, "She was a good whore."

Iris gasped and gaped at him.  "You don’t know what you’re saying," she tried to convince Vegeta.

His smirked disappeared leaving his pursed lips to spit the truth to her, "I was always going to kill her.  It’s better that I did it now.  It was convenient.  She was holding me back, forcing me to feel things I knew nothing about.  She ruined my life, and now," he reached out and quickly grabbed Iris’s right hand making sure she could not use her gem against her.  Tightening his grip he enjoyed her whimper as he could feel her bones rubbing insanely against one another, "I ruined hers."

Iris tried to pull away with out success.  She cried aloud as Vegeta grinned at her suffering.  Her gem was of no use since she could not even point it in his general direction.  "ARGH!  Kami!  Wet go!"  Her voice shrieked as she helplessly tried to escape his grip.

His grip tightened making her wither to her knees, "As for you, child, I can ruin yours too."
Iris’s eyes pleaded against the monster’s cold grasp.  Her design froze as no blood reached it and the diamond stopped its luminous glow.  Tears filled her eyes but she tried to hold them back trying to keep her composure.  "Pwease…" her weak voice cried.

Vegeta cold eyes quickly flashed pity before returning to its empty state.  Growling he loosened his grip so that her bones were no longer racking against each other and blood quickly rushed to her numb hand.  "But," Vegeta began, "I won’t."  He dropped her hand and turned his back to her and began to walk into the bedroom.

Iris rubbed her hand, "Why," she softly asked.

His voice was calm and steady.  No one would have ever thought that he was about to take the life of a child, "That would make Bulma sad."  Vegeta closed the door and left Iris alone outside.

Iris stood in awe as he disappeared into his room.  *Why did he…  I don’t understand…  Bulma sad?  I thought he didn’t care?*  She stared wistfully at the closed door.  Too frightened to follow him, too scared to leave.  Her life was practically laid in his hands; walking on the verge of death.  She rubbed her arm flinching each time her hand fluttered near the break.  She sniffled back the tears that dared to enter her eyes.  Iris closed her eyes concentrating her energy to her diamond trying to heal her arm.  A brilliant glow covered her as a warm sensation drenched her body.  She sighed as she fell back against the cold wall.  She would sleep there tonight.

Dug into a deep scowl his face was set in false determination.  His lips were parted for each breath, his soft breath fluttered from his mouth into the desolate room.  His mouth was dry as his nose was stuffy from his tears.  The air seemed stale as he lay on the large empty bed.  Muscles tensed as his hands pulsed at his body; eyes gaping at the ship ceiling.  Eyes so black, so cold, so empty.  It was as if blood poured dejected from his ice cold heart.  The pain pressed down on him, the pain that did not exist to anyone else but himself.  A bond he did not except made him feel pain for the loss of Bulma.  Vegeta gulped back cries that began to protrude from his throat.  A sob proposed to release but was vetoed by his swallow.  His mind sung with tormenting reminders of words that Bulma said to him.  His skin burned as he remembered her flinching from his touch, her sad eyes when she looked at him, the empty response to him kissing her.  What did that matter to him?  She was dead, he would go to earth and wish to become immortal and live a life of blood and battle.  So why did he keep thinking about how things would be once she comes back to life?

* * * * *

The circulated air blew steadily through the rafters as the little Iris awoke from her restless sleep.  The uncomfortable floor did little to soothe her woes.  To soothe her hatred of a certain Saiyan and to curse to herself for ever letting Freeza drag her into this.  If her parents weren’t at risk, if she didn’t have to control such an amazing power, if she wasn’t so weak, none of this would have happened.  If she had not stepped between Freeza and her parents she would not be in this predicament.  If she just kept to herself and didn’t nose in other people’s business.  If she didn’t flaunt her powers or her gem Bulma would still be alive.  She could have told him no.  She could have made it clear she did not want to get involved with a monster Saiyan.  If she just had the strength to say NO.  But she couldn’t.  She had to agree, had to comply.  Iris wanted to save her family, her people but they soon perished only days…  weeks later.

She opened and closed her right hand feeling the diamond in her palm.  Though the pain had left her long ago she still closed her eyes when she touched it.  Her family had wanted to keep the jewel in a safe place, safe from the hands of enemies like Freeza.  So they inserted it into her hand when she was 10 years old.  Forcing it into her palm in the center of her birth mark.  Ignoring her cries as she tried to pull her hand away from the carving knife as it pierced through her skin.  The burning sensation of the diamond assimilating into her body, its energy hers, her energy its.  Then how Freeza came in search of the powerful gem.  Wanting to claim it to have his gift of immortality, but he couldn’t have it.  It could not be his with it part of Iris.  So, with his threat of destroying the planet and her family, Iris convinced them that she could be OK by herself and left following him to her new life.

Iris groaned as the memories pressed themselves against her; her soft cries sniffled back with hatred.  Rubbing her temples fiercely to try and block the waves that passed through the chip inserted in her brain.  The mumbling of thousands of voices echoed through her head.  Messages of her mission, of her past, present, and future.  Her memories quickly rushed to the time the chip was placed inside her.  She struggled under their hold and tried to use the diamond against them.  Trying to build a shield around her, to no avail.  Her hands and feet strapped onto the metal table as she watched the doctors near her with scalpels, knives, and a chip.  Freeza’s gleaming face peered through the window watching anxiously of his new weapon against a certain Saiyan.  Her wails were unheard as the doctors began to insert fluid into her body making her feel numb and cold.  Her tears soon stopped falling as she fell into her blanketed unconsciousness.  Shrouded in her make believe safety blanket she forgot about the pain and fell asleep under the knives.

A splitting headache accompanied her as she awoke in a small cot.  The cut made in her head was unseen but the pain was felt throughout her tortured body.  Trying to stop the pain she resorted to the diamond placing it on her throbbing forehead and allowing a soft warm glow to swallow her up.  Her tears sparkled as they drifted from her eyes.  The pain stopped, her eyes grew heavy; falling face down on the pillow she drifted back to sleep.

Though she pleaded her eyes to stay shut they opened up, no headache this time, just the endless whispers echoing in her head.  Sitting up in the cot she looked around the boxed room.  *Why are there so many voices in my head.*  As if someone was reading her thoughts Freeza stepped through the door.  Licking his lips he stared anxiously at Iris, "So, how do you like the new chip?"

Iris shook her head, "What chip?"

Freeza smiled, "The chip in your head, of course."

Iris’s eyes widened, *So that was why I was in so much pain a while ago.*  "Why did you put it in me?!"

His ghastly smiled burned through her mind, "It’s a tracking device.  If I can’t have the gem, I’ll just take you."

Iris was jolted back to the present.  Her memories were pushed back into her mind as she tried to shake her head of anything daring to enter her mind.  Tears welled up in her eyes that she pushed back with all her mite.  Voices whispered mechanically in her mind.  Subconscious messages spilt through her thinking like a forced handicap.  She rocked herself back and forth pushing out the whispers from her mind.  Her beautiful purple hair fell scraggly by her petite face.  Her eyes glazed with her un-fallen painful tears.  *Why, why, why?*  Her mind questioned eternally.

* * * * *

Restless sleeping, empty bed, cold sheets plastered against his rock hard body.  Untrained and untamed he entangled his body in the sheets.

Bulma…

How dare his mind echo her name lustfully.

Bulma…

How dare he miss her presence.

Bulma…

WHY DID HE MISS HER SO?!  Why couldn’t he move on?  The tugging at his heart was relentless and his chest always seemed burden.  There was no one to hold in the late hours of night.  No blue hair to bury his face in to feel the soft silk against his blood stained skin.  No sweet skin to taste even though the person was not even awake to appreciate his kisses he left on her.  He brought his hand to his lips and brushing it lightly, how he wanted to kiss her.  He closed his eyes tightly as he remembered when he kissed her last.  How she shuddered each time he made contact with her.  How she tried to pull away trying to tell him she didn’t want him.

"DAMN IT!"  He pounded his fist against the luxuriant bed.  He wanted her so much.  His memories were filled with such horror and pain.  His father…  Freeza, and now Bulma was to join the list?  How could he ever let that happen.  Was he turning week?  Was he losing his strength to go against even his own free will?!  *It can’t be…*  His mind shuddered at the thought.  *It can’t be what I thought it was...*  His heart was flooded with sadness and it felt as if it were being poked with a thousand pins.  *It wouldn’t be that…*  His pulse raced as flashes of the dying Bulma entered her head.  Fingering her own blood, mesmerized by the thick red goo.  *No…  I didn’t think!*  His stomach lurched as he sat up in the bed placing his hand over his mouth.  Bulma telling him to wish her back with the dragon balls and falling limp in his arms.  He felt as if he were being turned inside out.  His eyes stung, his heart bled, his stomach churned.  *It is…*  His growl racked his body as he refused to let any more tears fall.  *I’m bonded.*

His tongue instinctively ran over his fangs.  He remembered how he bit her against her will.  Forcing her beneath his body, claiming her without her consent.  The shower scene came to mind.  Though at first his intentions were to rape her, she had complied to his surprise.  Kissed him back, welcomed his entrance, her fingernails scratching across his back.  Vegeta’s tail hugged tightly around her waist pulling her closely under the rain forest water.  His growling mixing with her gasps and screams.  His hands burning across her flesh as she moaned into his chest.  Her lips sliding across his chest, fingers tangled in his wet Saiyan hair…  Death by his own hands.  Vegeta stared impassively at the door.  His hands tingled at the memory of them being all over her body then stung as he remembered the last ki shot he fired that landed just to the side of her heart.

His mind forced those images out of his head again.  *What is wrong with me?  I just need to get to earth and get those damn dragon balls.  Then I can wish for immortality and kill Freeza.  Once he is gone I can take over the universe!*  He smirked at his ambition as his heart sunk.  If his pride wasn’t in his way, he would wish for Bulma’s life back.

* * * * *

Iris curled up by the door.  The whispering had finally stopped, her mind was finally at peace.  *I have to get this chip out!*  But how would she do that without killing herself?  She ran her fingers over the gem watching it radiate its glow.  She had not mastered all of its power and she didn’t even know its full potential yet.  *Perhaps I can use it to get rid of this chip.*  Feeling as though she had nothing else to lose she raised her hand and placed it on her forehead.  Heart pounding, breathing heavy, the young child concentrated the power towards her gem and allowed the warm glow to cover her.  The whispers started, again, mumbling plans.  Her eyes began to tear as she increased her power to destroy the annoying chip.  Her head began to hurt as she allowed the power to try and disintegrate the chip.  Her scream echoed as she felt the burden removed, the gem began healing her brain.  Her lips quivered as for the last time she heard the whispers.  Her head did not hurt, thanks to her gem.  Her design crawled along her hand as she powered down.  Her thoughts were finally not interrupted but the last whisper repeated in her head, "Coming to Vegeta’s ship."

It didn’t click at first.  She just breathed heavily as she was adjusting to her new freedom.  It didn’t click that Freeza was coming after Vegeta.  It didn’t click that he had followed her every move.  And then, after many moments of rethinking she jumped up from her sitting positions and banged on Vegeta’s door.  *Oh kami…  Oh dear kami.  He is coming!  Freeza is coming!  Come on Vegeta, answer the door!*

Vegeta slowly opened the door staring down the panting Xyart-jin.  He looked tired, his eyes were sunken in, "You’re still here brat?  What the fuck do you want?"

His eyes were so cold as they stared down the young child.  She shuddered, as did her voice, "He is coming!" she shouted out breathlessly.

Vegeta eyed her suspiciously.  *She is crazy.*  "What the hell are you talking about?  Who is coming?"

Iris shook her head as he watched the tears brimming on her eyes, "Freeza!  Freeza is coming!"

He stepped back in surprise.  *How would she know?*  His heart raced as his own fear finally reached his peak.  He had to get to earth.  He had to get the dragon balls, he had to wish for immortality…  But he just couldn’t do it without Bulma.
