Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heavens love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again…
Kakyuu looked up into the misty, early morning sky as a sudden feeling overcame her. Deep within her, she felt that something - something dear to her - was now gone. Sitting now in front of the large and open window she closed her eyes. In the back of her mind the winds spoke to her … Also, she could hear the sun as it rose before her.
Odd as it was, today it all sounded so strange, and new … and different. The balance was off in the rhythmic caress of the gentle wind. Many things were off today in the elements. From what she could remember, it had all started last night.
Such a storm had rushed through the town. It was a storm like none other; winds howling, the rain falling like a stream of endless tears, and the thunder and lightning striking and shaking the earth with such furry. It surprised Kakyuu to see such a beautiful morning after hearing a storm as furious at that one.
The Senshi.
It seemed to Kakyuu that it had been ages since she had last spoken to them. As of now -- with the Starlights away on a concert tour - Kakyuu found herself alone at their apartment and no one to talk to.
Getting up slowly, she couldn't help but to wonder if everything was all right between all of the Senshi. The storm had worried her more than she had thought. And since the feelings of the Senshi sometimes affected the elements, Kakyuu could not help but to worry a little more.

Haruka sighed heavily as she hung up the receiver of the phone. The line was busy again. She had attempted to call earlier, and no one would pick up. Then she had called a second time and the line was busy.
"Still no answer?" Michiru asked as she slowly walked into the room, placing her hands lightly on her partner's shoulders.
Haruka shook her head slowly. "Iie. Kakyuu-san still hasn't picked up the phone all day. Are you sure that she is staying at their apartment?" she asked as she looked up and into Michiru's eyes.
Michiru could only nod a bit. "That is what I was told before the Starlights went on tour. Try again. If she doesn't pick up this time, maybe we will stop but on or way to see Usagi-chan."
With a heavy sigh, Haruka picked up the phone once more and began to punch in numbers, this time saying a silent prayer.
Kakyuu-san, please answer … This is very important…
Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet…
Usagi looked up towards the door as she heard a sudden knocking. Getting up quickly she made her way to the front door and opened it slowly. "Michiru-san, Haruka-san. What are you doing here?" she asked as she avoided eye contact.
It did not take long for Michiru to notice that Usagi had all ready received the news. After all, that is why she and Haruka had made their way over to Usagi's, to see just how hard she was taking the news. "Usagi-chan," Michiru began as she placed a hand on her friend's shoulder and led her back inside. "How are you feeling?"
Usagi shrugged slightly. "All right, I guess … Michiru-san, why did it have to happen? And why to someone that meant so much to so many … Someone so special..."
Haruka chose not to speak as she leaned against the now closed door, her arms crossed at her chest and her eyes closed … Hiding what she was feeling, as usual.
Michiru then walked with Usagi into the living room and sat down beside her on the couch
Wiping her eyes with the backs of her hands once again, Usagi finally looked up and into Michiru's eyes. "Have you spoken to any of the other Senshi yet?" she asked quietly.
Looking down Michiru shook her head.
"And Princess Kakyuu? Does she know yet?"
"We have yet to reach her," said Haruka, finally walking into the living room. "Are you sure that it is their apartment that she is staying at?"
Usagi nodded slowly, accepting the handkerchief offered by Michiru to wipe her eyes. "I had talked to her just yesterday, and that is where she was at the time."
"Perhaps she went out for a walk, Haruka. We never really considered that." Michiru turned back to Usagi and smiled warmly. "It's all right, we will contact her soon enough." Her smile slowly faded. "The princess has a right to know … I only wish that it didn't have to be this way."
"No one wished for anything like this to happen," Haruka said harshly.
With a shocked expression, Usagi looked up at Haruka, her lower lip trembling. "Are you still angry with Seiya-san?"
Haruka huffed as she turned her head to the side. "Come on Michiru. We have other things to do."
Michiru gave a light nod as she slowly rose to her feet. With one last look at Usagi, Michiru smiled her usual warm smile.
"You will be all right, won't you?"
Usagi nodded yes as she extended the handkerchief back to Michiru, who only shook her head.
"You hold on to that. It seems as if you are going to bee needing it more than myself." With that, Michiru turned once again and followed Haruka out of the door.
Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget…
Michiru continued to watch Haruka at the pay phone as she sunk her feet into the cool damp sand. She could sense that Haruka was getting more worried by the minute. And it didn't help that she was continuing to hold in her feelings the way that she was. For someone like Haruka, it wasn't healthy, and could cause her to act in stranger ways then usual.
Haruka stood patiently as she listened to the constant ringing in her ear. Once … Twice … A third time … She sighed deeply as she continued to count the rings.
Maybe … maybe she all ready knows, she thought as she ran the palm of her free hand down the side of her slacks. She felt nervous doing all of this, trying to maintain her stern and strong manner. Her palms were sweating and her heart was racing. She had never handled something like this ever before. Never hand they lost a Senshi … not permanently. And though it was someone that she did not care too much for, it hurt her - more than she ever thought it would. In her mind she knew that by telling the princess of the stars that one of her own had been lost, it would be like taking part of her soul - her life, away from her for good.
A tenth ring … The and eleventh…
She began to see it in the only way that she could. In her mind, she compared Kakyuu's loss to how she would feel if she had lost what she held most dear to her. Her Michiru.
Now she knew the feeling … how Kakyuu would feel when she found out the news. But how? How could she bring herself to tell Kakyuu?
"Moshi moshi?"
Haruka's eyes quickly opened at the sound of the sudden voice on the other side of the phone. Suddenly her mind was blank. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know where to begin.
Finally, Haruka took a deep breath and began. "Kakyuu hime-san … There is something that you need to know…"
*
Kakyuu wiped the tears from her eyes repeatedly, but still they continued to come. Seiya was gone; she had to face that. But she was afraid to; she wasn't sure if she knew how to move on. All that she had had left in her memory's of her home planet were with her Starlights. And if they were gone, then she had nothing else to hold on to, nothing more to remember.
Loosing Seiya - her Star Fighter - also meant loosing part of her past as well as many of the memory's that went with it.
"Star Healer … Star Maker…" she whispered.
They had called her, not too long after she had spoken with Haruka. They had told her everything, and yet she still didn't seem to understand. It had just been an accident, a simple accident. Their tour bus … A simple hit and run that had cost Seiya his life.
"My Seiya…" she whispered before lying back in the cool grass. As she cast her eyes up to the sky, she could see the first sign of the stars beginning to appear. In her mind she could see reflection, mostly of the past. She remembered all of the times when Seiya had sat and spoke with her.
So many fond memories that she had of one of her most dear friends. At this time, the most vivid memory was that of when she had finally rejoined her Starlights after so long. She had been so tired after such a long journey. She was thankful that Seiya had stayed to watch after her, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder. In her mind she could hear the songs of her Starlights. But one, stood out among the rest … Even now she could hear the words repeating softly in her mind…
Kimi wa itsumo kagayaite ita … Egao hitotsu chiisa na hoshi …Taisetsu ni shiteta yo … Ano hi boku wa mamorenakute … Kuyashi namida koraeta dake … Itami ga nokoru yo… She smiles lightly as a single tear fell from her eye and to the ground below her. "Wasuenai sweetheart…"
Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angel's sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light…
