The Heartsaver First Aid Course: *All certifications are for two years*
Course Descriptions:
Provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel. The course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for First Aid, CPR and AED.
The Heartsaver First Aid Course has been developed using the same evidence-based process as all American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care courses.You will learn how to recognize and provide basic treatment for medical conditions like cardiac arrest, stroke, seizures, allergic reactions, asthma, shock, and enviromental emergencies such as snake bites, insect stings, as well as heat and cold emergencies. You can also be certified for the use of an AED.
Heartsaver CPR Course:
Teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. The program has three courses from which to choose.
Heartsaver CPR for All Ages:
This course teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction in the adult, infant and child.
Heartsaver CPR for Adults:
This course teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for the adult.
Heartsaver CPR for Infants and Children:
This course teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for infants (birth to 1 year of age) and children (1 year to 8 years of age).
Heartsaver AED:
Incorporates certification for use of an AED.
CPR for Family and Friends:
An orientation to Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (Does not include Certification)
