1. Check it out! The first step in getting started is to go to a local store or track. See what kind of bikes there are, and what kind you want.
2. Read! By reading dirt bike magazines such as Dirt Rider, you can see all of the gear, and learn alot.
3. Try it! Some places you can rent Motorcycles, or maybe go with a friend who has a bike. Before you buy a bike, you need to ride one.
4.Decisions! Decide on the bike you want, the gear, and if you are going to race or just ride. The most imortant decision is the bike, don't buy a bike unless it is perfect, there are tons of bikes out there.
5.Develop a Budget! Dirt Biking costs a lot to start, but after you have everything, it costs little. Bike: $800- $8,000 Helmet: $95- $ 495 Parts : Varies Gear : $100 - $400
6. Shopping! Buy all of the things you need. Go to your local motorcycle dealer, and get some stuff. The people at the stores should help you find what you need.
7.Practice! Go to a local riding area for the weekend. It will get easier to ride the longer you do it.
