I don't think these two boxes have any thing in common except the name. Nor do I think that either of them have anything to do with an early tube manufacturer that was named United. Unless the name was licensed. In that case, it's still not them, but then again, it might be - sort of. The first goes a little further calling themselves 'United National Labs'. The second is an obvious knock-off of GE's most famous box. If I learn more, I may have to give them their own pages. But really, I think both of these are re-boxers and UNL may even be a wash-house. |
