BURLE

Burle Industries is the former industrial tube division of RCA, still headquartered in Deptford, NJ. They were part of RCA when RCA owned the broadcast network NBC and remained with RCA when GE made the big buyout of RCA. However, when Thomson CSF of Europe bought all of RCA and the rights to the GE name for consumer electronics, NBC remained with GE. With the exception of the Industrial Tube Division both RCA and GE tubes had already been buried. The Industrial Tube division was bought by some of the executives and shareholders, renamed Burle Industries and remains active today, producing special purpose and transmitting tubes. Thomson didn't need them as they are a force in the same product under their new name of Thales.
