Welcome
"Arizona Coursing" I made and donated this quilt as a Best of Breed trophy for the lure coursing trial at the 1999 Basenji Club of America National in Scottsdale, Arizona. The handsome fella sitting next to it is our Basenji, Spicer. Click here to see a detail pic. (Click your browser's Back button to return)
"Flo's Quilt" I made this quilt for Flo, one of the people in charge of the lure coursing trial at the Basenji Club of America's 1999 lure coursing trial. She fell in love with the donated one, and wanted one for her very own. Not only did I make a little Xmas money, I made a new friend, Flo.
I made 3 of these quilts, and donated them to the Basenji Club of America's 2000 National Specialty in Indianapolis. The barn, and the 'checkered flag' blanket the dog is wearing (coursers usually were yellow, pink or blue blankets) was my way of incorporating Indiana into the quilt. The winners all seemed to be very pleased with their trophy (especially ME!) Would you like to see me winning one of the quilts? Would you like to see how difficult it is to take a quilt photo when you have basenji helpers?
"Teddy Christmas" I donated this quilt to the Toledo Kennel Club's Christmas auction in 1999. The money collected was given to the local police fund to buy a bullet proof vest for the police dogs.
This one was for the Toledo Kennel Club in 2000.
I admit I 'cheated' on this quilt. I used a fabric with the individual snowman blocks already printed. Quilt detail:
I made this one for Dr. Tracy Leonard, DVM.
No, you won't get a headache if you stare at it too long.
I have a few quilts that I did not make and I truly cherish them.
