The Evolution of Rogan? |
|||||||||||||||||||||
There had been talk of setting up some sort of band ever since 7th grade. Eventually the idea faded for the moment. But around 8th grade, this idea was revived and we set up a practice. The first practices were very shaky. Our equipment was pretty poor and we had never really played with each other before. We played without any drummer for awhile, then one day Jason came down and joined us. The band seemed so much more powerfull and tight with Jason behind the drums. Some of the band members decided that the band should tryout for Battle of the Bands. Pulley did not think it was a good idea at all. We finally convinced him that we should at least try out. Then we practiced our 2 songs for tryouts over and over. When we were filling out the BOTB sheets, we noticed that we needed a name. On the spot the best thing we came up with was Thunderstruck. So Thunderstruck tryed out and got 3rd out of 7 bands. We started getting excited for Battle. Jason was told that he could not be in two bands and so we were glad to discover a drummer named Dave. Dave was a great drummer and really helped us out. The 4 songs we were going to play for battle were practically the only songs we knew how to play. We got 2nd at BOTB III and were pleased. |
