I created this page as a tribute to my beloved Redbone Coonhound Reverend's Amazing Grace. Please take the time to read her story and sign her guest book. When Grace has 200 signatures in her guest book I will donate a puppy to the Red Fern Award, which is a program that provides coonhound puppies to youth who otherwise might not be able to have a dog. Applicants are very carefully screened and closely monitored after placement to ensure good homes.

In May of 1998 this adorable redbone coonhound puppy came into our lives. She was purchased as a hunting, show, and breeding prospect, but little did we know what an effect she would have on our lives in the short time we had her. She immediately captured our hearts, brought joy to our lives and smiles to our faces.....

....and one year later had a birthday celebration fitting for a beloved member of our family.

Grace grew and blossomed into a beautiful show dog. She started her show career by winning the puppy class at the 1998 Texas State Coonhound Championships and received her Show Champion Degree in April 2000. She had one win toward her Grand Show Champion degree at the time of her death.

However Grace's most valuable contribution to mankind by far was her work as a Certified Pet Therapy Dog. She visited the patient below in the ICU at Memorial Mother Frances Hospital. This lady was in the end stages of lung disease but managed to weakly raise a hand and gesture for me to bring Grace to her bedside. She was on a respirator and could not talk but when I placed her hand on Grace's head she smiled and tears came to her eyes. She died the next day.

And here our story ends, with me spending a moment in quiet reflection by my angel's grave.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Grace's page and read her story. Please sign her guest book and pass the word about her page to everyone you know, and be sure to hug that special dog tonight and cherish every moment.
God Bless,
Lynn Wilson
