Double Diamond Continued
STEP 9
step 9
Go through the main bead the thread came out of, creating a circle.  Take the needle through the main bead and the first druk that you strung.
STEP 10
step 10
This is exactly the same as Step 3.  Go through all 4 druks, skipping the main beads.  Pull tight to achieve the triangle peaks.
STEP 11
step 11
In order to prepare for the next step, go through the next druk, then put your needle through two of the main beads, ending up at the peak of the triangle.  Congratulations!  You've learned this stitch!  To continue making diamonds, repeat steps 4-11.
VARIATIONS
sample
Variety is the spice of life!  Once you're comfortable with this stitch, why not try something a little different?  Below are some examples I whipped up.  I think this redeems the... uhmm...interesting...color choice of my tutorial!
Instead of round druks, try rectangular beads
No small diamonds in the middle
Made with pearls, and varying the amount of small diamonds
I normally do this stitch without using accent color beads
you lost me!
Nothing more to see here
Back it up!
