"Nickel and dime" pirate
Williams

In August of 1885, Williams' Alpena schooner TRADER was seized Wyandotte, Michigan on a charge of piracy. Evidence prooved the charge correct, as there was a missing topsail from Amherstburg, Ontario, as well as numerous other stolen goods, such as gear of campers situated at the mouth of the River Rouge. Williams was promptly arrested.
