Wonder and Awe
Our Galaxy - The Milky Way
This Picture's Source
Our Galaxy, the Milky Way, is made up of hunderds of billions of stars. Our star, the sun, is not at the center of the galaxy, but halfway towards the edge of the universe, only a very small star inside of the galaxy. Just as Earth revolves around the sun, the sun, as well as many of the other billion stars in the galaxy, revolve around the center of the galaxy. These other stars are just like our sun, maybe even having planets of some sort revolving around them. The sun is considered a young star, only five billion years old, while the Milky Way is at least five billion years older than the sun.

The Milky Way elicts wonder and awe because of its immense size what it could contain. Our sun is a very very small part of our galaxy, being only one of the hundred billion stars in the Milky Way, not to mention our entire solar system which revolves around this average star. If God is capable of developing what he as on just planet Earth, just imagine what he has done with the majority of the universe. Our galaxy is just one of many other galaxies. This means that as much God has created in our galaxy, that is multiplied by as many galaxies there are. We, us humans on Earth, are just an extremely minute fraction of solar system, which is an even smaller fraction of our galaxy. God has created more than anyone can imagine, and continues to amaze me everytime I think about the Milky Way.
