Using Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4
|
PhotoDeluxe works well with the procedure
for printing multiple photos on a single page. In fact, it's
even somewhat easier than using Photoshop!
The following are the main differences between doing the printing
procedure in Photoshop and PhotoDeluxe version 4; you might want
to print these, and then go back to the main page for the step
by step procedure, keeping the printed page to refer to. (or
jsut use your browser's forward and back buttons, if you prefer) |
- TIP: Click View, and then choose "Show Rulers"
to help size the photos. Also, "Show Layers" will show
you the layers palette.
- Click the "advanced menus" button at the lower
left of the screen in PhotoDeluxe 4, to have access to the tools.
- The marquee tool (Ctrl-M) is
found at "Select...Selection Tools...Rectangle" (use
the shortcut!)
- The move tool is automatically chosen for you after you open
a photo or make a selection
- There's no need to choose the Transform tool; when you drag
a photo or a selection to your blank page (template), the photo
automatically has resize handles, and you can also rotate it
with the handles.
- No need to hold down the shift key when resizing; it automatically
maintains the right proportions
- To quickly rotate an image or selection 90 degrees, click
Orientation...and then Rotate the direction you want.
- The Layers palette doesn't have the "duplicate layer"
option, so use the edit...copy/paste (ctrl-c,
ctrl-v) method. There is no "flatten image"
to combine all of the layers, but there is a "merge down",
which can accomplish the same thing just merge until there is
only one layer left.
|
Aside from the above, the process
is the same as using Photoshop, and you can still move and do
color adjustments on the different layers without affecting the
others. |
