Robert Reed Carradine was born on March 24, 1954 in San Mateo California. He comes from a family of actors. The youngest of four sons of John Carradine, Robert followed his brothers Keith and Bruce and half-brother David into performing trade at the age of 16. Robert made his film bow in 1972`s Cowboys, playing juvenile leads until his facial features matured into those of a young character actor. His brother Bruce was born in 1934 and was adopted by John when he married Bruce`s mother. In 1990 Robert married Edie Mani, and they have a daughter. |

Robert has been racing cars since 1970s. In mid-June 2001 he had a car accident, when his racing car slammed into concrete wall with speed 120 miles per hour. A source sayed: "The car was completely totalled, Robert was extremely fortunate to escape with his life." He was rushed by the ambulance to Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital in Valencia, California in pretty bad shape. He had broken both legs and fractured his right hand. Now he has screws in his knees and his hand in cast. Robert wasn`t able to put any weight on his legs for at least a month and then he had to work very hard in rehabilitaton. |
