This gallery comprises a whole range of stuff that really doesn't belong anywhere else... but all photos are original. Hope you like them! Brief explanations follow. (1) The Lunokhod was an unmanned Russian lunar exploration vehicle. This model appears in the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. (2) Brush turkeys can be found in many areas in south-east Queensland - this one was spotted in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
(3) The Galapagos tortoise has a fearsome appearance and a shell seemingly as strong as concrete. This one lives at the Australian Reptile Park, Central Coast, NSW. (4) Here is a most unusual piece of artwork located in Woolloomooloo Bay. (For overseas readers: yes, Woolloomooloo is the legitimate name of a suburb in Sydney!)
(5) Don't know exactly why, but these vintage tractors with the really-close-together front wheels always look kind of sinister - maybe because they might tip over at any time without warning? (6) Pizza shop at Greenacre, Sydney, featured in the SBS television series "Pizza". (The character "Pauly" drives an earlier model yellow Valiant...)
