This set of photos comes from the most recent helicopter trip - a flight around Queensland's Gold Coast. Once again this was a great experience and lots of fun. Seeing well-known landmarks from an aerial perspective is always enthralling.
This was a fairly short flight, around fifteen minutes. However there was plenty of time to fly around the northern end of the Gold Coast - the tour went over the Broadwater, Main Beach then Robina to Mermaid Beach and back past Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise to Marina Mirage.
Conditions for this trip were good, but there was some cloud cover and light rain so the doors stayed on the helicopter this time. Hence visibility was slightly reduced - the filming and photography still went well though.
The helicopter of choice on this tour was once again the Robinson R44. Thanks to Scott and Johanna at Gold Coast Helitours for our flight.
