Homebush Bay was of course the main site of the Olympic Games, held in Sydney in September-October 2000. This was a really exciting event and the eyes of the world were on Australia. It was interesting to see all the venues being built at the Homebush site over the years.
The elevated views here were taken from the observation deck at the Novotel. This was on the day of the NRL football (Rugby League) grand final which is a big event in NSW. Also this was the last day of unrestricted access to the site before the 2000 Olympics.
