In Memory of my Mother

Oh God hold her close my mom I adore
The pain is over and there will be no more
She was the greatest I know you know
As you spoke to her its time to go
The mansion made of Gold
The room prepared you hold
As she walks on your golden streets
on the right side of you is her seat.
Letting go the day I was told
Tears of pain and grief set in as I got cold
Emptiness within a part of me
But thanks to you I can see
Selfishness of not letting go
As I wanted her to stay here with me so
I could hold her one last time
And say I love you mom your mine
Praise to you my Holy One
Your hand out saying its time to come
As you called her home to stay
On your appointed day
I look up in the sky and say
Thank you God as she lays
In your arms so close to you
Give her a kiss and tell her I'm not blue
I will meet her soon I can not wait
Tell her I will not get weak and faint
As she knows Your my God
And your word is my Rod
Oh God thank you for my mom
The years I have been blessed beyond
As she stays in my heart each day
I know she is with you to stay
