Question: Rewrite a major story in the Gospels from the first person perspective of a minor character in that story. Take time, be alone, and imagine what you would have thought and felt if you were a Jew in the crowd when the woman was caught in adultery and Jesus interceded or if you were a servant in the upper room at the Last Supper or if you were one of the Apostles with Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane.
So i was working the late shift at the inn last night when this woman named Mary and her husband Joesph walked in. I could tell Mary was pregnant about 9 months in or so. I felt bad for the couple so i set them up for the night in the stable. In that night Jesus was born and then several people came into the stable including three wise men who brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
The wise man kept talking about how they followed a star to the inn, and how they were to worship Christ. They told Mary and Joesph about how the star meant a new ruler was born.
Then the wise man were talking about a dream they had. In the dream Herod was killing all Children in Jerusalem under the age of 2. After that the wise men returned to their home country. Then Joesph was talking to Mary about his dream where an Angel told him to take the family to Egypt to avoid Herod, and his crazy killing spree. Later on that week they left my stable and they set off to Egypt and i never saw them again.
