The main idea of this chapter is the call into a relationship with jesus. It tries shows us how to bring our relationship with jesus closer. To bring us closer to jesus the book showed us witnesses by Tacitus, Pliny the Younger and Sister Thea Bowman.
One of the two major ideas in this chapter that i want to remeber the story of Sister Thea Bowman and how she suffered with cancer and still preached and she tried and was succesful at breaking racial barriers. She broke those barriers in 1989 when the U.S catholic bishops invited her to speak at a confrence about Black Catholics.
I also want to remeber the ways to strengthen my relationship with jesus. One way i can keep my relationship is to read the scriptures, and pray. Also, when i go to church i need to pay attention to the priest and understand what he is saying to me, and then think to myself what the reading means to me.

One exprience freshman year which brought me closer to jesus was the freshman retreat. We learned many spiritual excersices which i have been able to use to get closer with jesus. The retreat brought me closer to kids i didnt know and kids i had never met. They helped me get in touch with jesus. Another expirence in freshman year which brought me closer to jesus were the class masses. They allowed me to get in touch with jesus with my class mates.
