Directions
1. Draw in the right ascension marks from 4 hours, 30 minutes (bottom right) to 6 hours, 20 minutes (bottom
left) on both the bottom and top of the short side of your paper.  One centimeter = 5 minutes of Right Ascension,
so draw 22 sections.
2. Draw in the declination.  The bottom of the page will be -10ºdegrees south, the top will be +20ºdegrees north
(you should have half a degree left over).  Draw the degrees of declination on both the right and left sides of the
long side of your paper.  One centimeter = one degree of declination, so draw 30 sections.
3. Use the star chart below for the stars in the constellation Orion, plot their positions and draw them on your
black constructon paper which will become your map of the constellation Orion.
4. Using your art skills connect the lines and then draw Orion the hunter, with his club and shield as best you can.
