Haruka is a tomboy. In fact she dresses like a boy. When she is first seen in the series Serena and Mina get a crush on her (they thought she was a guy). She prefers to wear the male school uniform and likes to race motorcycles. She is a mechanic. She is also a keeper of the second Talisman, the Space Sword as seen in the picture above. Before she found out she was one of the ones with the pure heart crystal that held the powers of the Talisman, she had been fighting to find the person who did. In fact she demanded that the Sailor Senshi keep out of it and let her and Sailor Neptune find the heart crystals on their own. She has a powerful personality and when she and Sailor Pluto and Neptune took care of Hotaru (Sailor Saturn), Hotaru called her Papa Haruka. She and Michiru care a lot for each other, and though they never come out and say it, they are a couple. I know you are thinking,'Well ain't they lesbians?' I can't say they are, but they do care for each other very much. I can say, that when the Sailor Moon S series was translated, Michiru and Haruka weere made cousins.

During the time of the Silver Millennium, the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) were on their own planets. They were to guard the inner planets from outside forces that could harm them. The Negaverse caught them off guard and suceeded in overcoming there efforts and destroy the Moon Kingdom.
