I am especially proud to present my International Sherlock Holmes Library.
The Canon was translated into at least 71 languages, special editions
like Braille or Shorthand not counted. My special Sherlockian task during
the years has been collecting Sherlock Holmes books in different languages
from all over the world. This is much more difficult than one may assume,
and therefore I beleive that it is a worthy task for a Sherlockian scholar.
This is the right place to give my very special thanks and deepest deference to all the incredibly nice and friendly people who I met out there in the world and who helped me most kindly in building up this library and increasing it all the time. If you see any language which is still missing in my collection and you know where to get a specimen, please kindly let me know.
Now to the list of languages of which I know that Sherlock Holmes books
exist in.
Please click on the underlined languages to see the cover of the book,
and use the back switch of your browser to return this page.
With my deepest bow to Mr. Don Hobbs this list could be largely updated in October 2002
